FPS sells like clockwork in the US. Sony has no massive exclusive shooter, but they have pretty much every other genre covered. InFamous shouldn't even be compared to Titanfall as they are two different genres. The fact that InFamous is only a single player game and is getting the preorder that it has is enough.

Halo, Gears and Titanfall are all on one platform this gen. If you're a competitive shooter fan you know where to go. Between the three of those games that spells over twenty million potential copies, per game and I am not even bringing COD or Battlefield into it. Microsoft knows what they are doing. 

If you want a big country where MS has no shot its Japan, not Europe. Europe might be Sony land but they the 360 opened their minds because Microsoft got the third parties to put their games on the 360.

SS is not a shooter and it's never been very popular franchise really And above all Sony isn't throwing money on marketing for it to build hype as MS is doing with TF.

Xbox success in NA was given, just how PS4 success in EU and Japan is a given. Having said that, I find the Xbox Ones performance more of an astonishing feat with all the negativity and hatred the last year or so.

It's great to see MS promoting diversity amongst their fans.

Not that I'm entertaining the notion that Xbox One is doomed in America (has anyone on here even thought that?) Since when did we put this much faith in the pre-order charts? I think Titanfall is way overtracked. 2 weeks left with almost 400k preorders does not look correct.

And furthermore, one game in one region doing superbly well does not mean that the console itself is doing superb.

The part I have an issue with is that you're implying that many of the people on this site think Xbox One is doomed and in America.

X1 is not doomed at all. It just probably wont have as many sales as the PS4 world wide. That doesn't mean it's doomed or will fail, because it will have plenty of great games. Just look at the PS3's slow start... it didn't mean it was doomed or failed (as it finished with the second most sales last gen after trailing for years) and had arguably some of the best games of last gen.

The US will probably be the only market that the X1 has a chance to beat the PS4 and with the bad media originally, the higher price point, and lower specs, that probably wont happen. But that does not indicate "failure" in the slightest.

X1 should win NA, but the margin of victory will be much smaller this time around. Last-gen it was 66/33 in favor of of the 360. My guess is this gen it'll be more like 55/45.
