Pretty sure thats what everybody means when they say Titanfall will outsell SS. And also i think its been expected that Titanfall on X1 outsells SS.

what about digital preorders. SS been up for day one digital for a while now.

I hope you mean in the u.s. only because worldwide infamous will handily beat titanfall on xb1. 

Is one game supposed to save a console? I mean, I don't think XBOX ONE is doomed but I don't think you can use a single game's pre-orders to determine that it's not doomed.

I was talking about US...since the preorder numbers are for US only....

That being said i think Titanfall will outsell SS worldwide as well Quite frankly it has a wider appeal than SS.

To answer the second Question in the title: the same reason why COD and GTA are best sellers. People tend to like boring games.

People that dooms the XOne don't understand that is not XOne selling bad, is PS4 selling very very good. Both are selling very good compared to Ps3/X360

It's selling about 20k less per week in its strongest market, a place where they expect to win. That's awful, their market share in the US will be cut by half at least as word of mouth over summer and the hive affect start occuring as there are more ps4's that Xbones out there, with sony having a much stronger software line up this year the difference in sales is only going to increase and start increasing at a faster rate. There's no point in MS wasting efforts in mainland Europe as they're well and truly crushed there already. A 100 euro price drop would maybe double baseline sales of 5k and would need to have a large push in terms of software. The only markets Xbox has a chance in is UK and US, everywhere else they're hoping for a miracle.

50-60k of the difference is due to it being a week closer to launch to be fair. Not to take anything away from Titanfall though, fantastic numbers for a new IP.

No idea which one will take America. I think it will be close either way. I disagree with the OP though that any price snipping and a single game release with result in an easy win though. Both sides have a lot of room to counter the other's moves.

I dont think anyone said xbox one is doomed there... Though we can bet x1 wont reach 360 sales.
