Why? That's what MS started to do after Titanfall launch... they had no choice.

I am okay with the current price as i think its worth it for what you get but for the mass consumers then it would be better if they matched sonys price with kinect bundled as Ps eye si doign well but if you bundled it for teh same priece as teh ps4 without it ,, then you get more value for money
i believe that with a 400$ pricecut it would be much more competitive...

No, a $501 price cut would be best. Would become best selling console of all time in less than a year.
You're Gonna Carry That Weight.
Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

The xbox one is way weaker than the ps4. Sorry, but the xbox one isn't worth the same as a ps4, even with kinnect.
$150 official price cut, you guys have lost your minds.
I will say this much, if Sony dropped to 349.99 (they won't, not with it selling so well) then Microsoft would have to just give up hope of aggressively competing and instead try to just build their franchises and user base for the next generation
I say $399 is the magic price to be really competitive at this point. Keep the kinect and pack in a game like Kinect Sports Rivals. That would move some serious hardware. At a value standpoint, it would easily surpass the Ps4 even with the power difference. Of course $350 would be better, but realistically a $150 price cut would never happen at once like that.
It's important to point out I think that the xbox one and ps4 share the same amount of memory and near identical cpu resources so both are capable of identical games. The PS4 advantage is really one of graphics quality, higher resolution, better visual effects, higher frame rates. The wii u struggles to be competitive with 360 and PS3. I think both xbox one and ps4 are brilliant consoles but I would never pay anywhere near the same money for the weaker xbox one console unless it was justified by its software library. However the majority of games are multiformat and superior on ps4 so for me the xbox one needs to be cheaper. Especially as I'm unlikely to subscribe to xbox live so the xbox one will have many limitations for me.

Way weaker hmmm? Not sure the power gap qualifies it for "way weaker" status, it's not the Wii U by any means. Besides, many people have far more deciding factors when it comes to buying a new console than just specs. Just look at how well it's selling right now compared to PS4, the numbers suggest that Microsoft could slowly take back the Xbox's lead markets at a $50 premium, assuming they play it smart with exclusive support. And without Kinect they could compete quite well on a global scale at $50 less than the PS4. |
No. It's not the wiiU power gap by any means. And I also think that the wiiU should be way cheaper. It's still a very large one though. And I'm not seeing what I'm supposed to be looking at I guess. The week that their biggest game came out, the xbox one sold moderately better than an average week for the ps4. That's not really anyhing to gloat over.
