Too bad the game looks like an HD upgrade of a current gen game

Well I read the whole thing, my summary is they are saying, the game as a whole doesn't look "next gen" Th ps4 version has the more favorable stats for people who like numbers but when looking on the screen the xbox one version looks better for what ever reason. Thats only for the sake of picking a winner as the pc,ps4, and xbox one versions are all very close to the same thing.

Definitely got a sense of frame rate and resolution not being a factor at all in this review.

^Yes that's me ripping it up in the GIF. :)

Yeah, what a misleading article from Eurogamer.

This doesn't even have anything to do with trilinear vs anisotropic.

What's with that flag rendering slow as shit on the PS4? You sure that isn't the Xbone version with it's slower memory?

So much for "next-gen" and PC gaming because all three versions are terrible.

Hey bud. I noticed that ellipsis in your post, so I completed your sentence for you. No need to thank me.

better frame rate and higher res... but looks worse. thanks for enforcing my point further.

ps4 version doesnt looks worse, in fact looks better thanks to resolution.

ps4 only have problems loading textures in cutscenes for 1 sec

but whatever

Sounds a lot like when people harped on Ryse dropping to "18 fps" or something from a DF analysis when it hit that mark for one second during a non-playable cut scene.

If I were running DF my analysis would be simple.

PS4: Looks like shit, plays like shit
XB1: Looks like shit, plays like shit
PC: Looks like shit, plays like shit

Thief sucks.

For once, I have to agree with you.

Even on the shitty compressed ps4 livestream the basic geometry and gameplay was clearly visible while some dude was trying to toss an invisible (bugged) body on some painstakingly obvious trap plates, then proceeded to disarm a security device that seemed to have come from a ps2 game.

lol

and than SQ will complaim why people dont buy their games.

i knew this game would suck one year ago when thay said the game will run at 30fps on next-gen consoles.

I doubt DF would analyze a game that wasn't fully installed, it should be common knowledge by now that when ps4 games become playable certain graphical traits are missing. For the job they do there, they should know that much better than anyone so no, I for one don't believe the random poster on gaf.
