Definitely isnt all about resolution. For this game it seems as though X1 version should have been 720p and PS4 version should have been 900p. That would have probably fixed the frame pacing and rating issues.

In any case it never was a issue of just resolution...people have been making a big deal about the resolution because PS4 games runs at higher res and at higher FPS. Which should always be the case given the hardware, the only way X1 wins a face off is if devs purposefully goes for console parity. I guess that sounds bias but thats just the way it is given the hardware setup.

Intel Core i7 3770K [3.5GHz]|MSI Big Bang Z77 Mpower|Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1866 2 x 4GB|MSI GeForce GTX 560 ti Twin Frozr 2|OCZ Vertex 4 128GB|Corsair HX750|Cooler Master CM 690II Advanced|

It's not really an xbone win when its running at a lower resolution with a lower average frame rate but clearly there are issues. There are many variables, which engine, development tools, developer priorities, development time spent on each version. Why even bother to do 1080p on ps4 if you can't get it performing correctly. MIght as well match the xbone in resolution and go with a more fluid frame rate.

Whatever it should be added to the mix of results so far. As a game this looks embarrassing for both consoles and their claim to be next gen performance. Frankly another game that doesn't justify anywhere near its retail price.

"Otherwise next-gen console owners get the full package. Both platforms benefit from POM, a procedural rendering technique that creates the effect of bumps and divots to more complex texture-work."

if these consoles cant run a game like thief at 1080p/60 we have huge problem

Given that all other settings are a match between next-gen platforms, the Xbox One release - surprisingly - stacks up favourable against a maxed-out PC playthrough.

The PS4 has better resolution, better framerates and no tearing but for some reason DF gave the win to the X1. And the pop in doesn't occur when the PS4 version is fully installed (it HAS to be fully installed on the X1)

But if you want it, take it.

exactly, In the entire frame-rate video, there was 1 section (1:36 - 1:52) where PS4 dropped in frame-rate when xbox didnt, while there were numerous occasions where xbox's frame-rate dipped where PS4's didnt.

Even that section was a cutscene, so if they wanted they could have pre-rendered it and made it run at 60, even on XB1.
