well then thinking before shooting helps alot.
I mean a Wiimote looks less like a gun than a toy gun does and kids used toy guns for decades...... by now officers should know that someone opening a door holding something in his/her hands is not always going to kill them. Besides noone forces cops to wait for the door to open while staying exactly in the center of the entrance so they get shot easily...
If the kid was holding the Wiimote like other people hold their beer while opening the door (i doubt he was pointing the wiimote to the officers face) wearing a west would have saved the officer even if the kid was going to shot the officer.
Its just an officer acting dumb. Also as far as I know holding a gun on ones own property is not illegal in any way I mean what if the person way someone cleaning his guns etc? Sure opening a door with a gun is not really smart but its legal. (correct me if I am wrong)
