According to this thread, the 50K Wii U number was completely inaccurate. Which leads me to believe that these numbers (3DS included) may not be quite so infallible after all.

^this. And also, I've seen people here say that these gaf leaks are mostly accurate..... Mostly? If these people have access to genuine info, they would be spot on, 100% of the time. Then there's people who say that just to be on gaf they have to be verified, and that's why they should be trusted.... Just like misterxmedia, right? Yup, gaffers should be trusted, no questions asked..... I'm convinced. I'm a believer now... Make.beleive |
Do you know what a verified leaker is? These guys have proven track records and their numbers have been confirmed many many times. Should we act like they're fake just becuse you don't like the numbers? I suppose when ioi adjusts the sales on the site to match the very numbers these guys give out you'll still be unconvinced? Makes sense.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

That innacurate WiiU number was an earlier one that someone estimated, not from one of the verified leaker. The OP never changed it.

It's not that we "dislike" numbers, it's that these numbers are extraordinarily hard to believe.
Take a weatherman for instance. Even if you have a weatherman who has an absolutely incredible track record, if he goes on TV and forecasts ten feet of snow in July, you're going to have some doubts, and justifiably so. Regardless of how great someone's past may be (which, I might add, no one has provided any real list as to what credentials this leaker has), if they're proposing something that sounds insane, people are justified in asking for a little more proof than just their word.
I have absolutely no stake in what console sells well; as someone who owns a PC, Wii U, and 3DS, games will come to me regardless of which consoles are selling well. I just have some difficulty believing that the 3DS could go from a record setting month to barely selling over 12K per week in the span of 30 days.
If more sources come out and confirm this as time goes on, then yes, I'll find the information more credible, in very much the same way as I'd find ten weathermen saying that snow will come in July more credible than just one weatherman forecasting snow (regardless of how good his track record is).

Calm down, you get upset as though I'm criticizing your mother. Creamcheese may be accurate, I'm just skeptical. Has nothing to do with if I "like" the numbers or not. When/if ioi changes the numbers to reflect coffeecream's numbers, I'll accept them, because I'm seemingly one of the few that defends/believes in this sites numbers. So I'm sorry if I'm not a believer of creamofwheat's numbers, it's just not in my nature to beleive something because someone like you tells me too. Does that make sense to you? Fact is, the numbers being "leaked" have been bouncing around a bit, from 40k to 97k.... So if my skepticism upsets you, I don't care. Don't read my posts.... Please? I appreciate it!

Ok, got it! Lol
If anything this means the next Nintendo handheld is just around the corner. People nowdays likes buying new hardware more often, upgrading is the key word. I believe E3 2015 will be the reveal annoncement for the 3DS2? E32016 for the next home console.

In fact the 3DS has dropped around 50% from last year, and that includes pokemon and the 2DS |
Still the 3DS will battle it out with the PS4 about the best-selling system this gen and may well be winning it. This gen will see a horrible contraction.
