Do you know what a verified leaker is? These guys have proven track records and their numbers have been confirmed many many times. Should we act like they're fake just becuse you don't like the numbers? I suppose when ioi adjusts the sales on the site to match the very numbers these guys give out you'll still be unconvinced? Makes sense. |
It's not that we "dislike" numbers, it's that these numbers are extraordinarily hard to believe.
Take a weatherman for instance. Even if you have a weatherman who has an absolutely incredible track record, if he goes on TV and forecasts ten feet of snow in July, you're going to have some doubts, and justifiably so. Regardless of how great someone's past may be (which, I might add, no one has provided any real list as to what credentials this leaker has), if they're proposing something that sounds insane, people are justified in asking for a little more proof than just their word.
I have absolutely no stake in what console sells well; as someone who owns a PC, Wii U, and 3DS, games will come to me regardless of which consoles are selling well. I just have some difficulty believing that the 3DS could go from a record setting month to barely selling over 12K per week in the span of 30 days.
If more sources come out and confirm this as time goes on, then yes, I'll find the information more credible, in very much the same way as I'd find ten weathermen saying that snow will come in July more credible than just one weatherman forecasting snow (regardless of how good his track record is).
