If no one wants a product, then it is bad.

So the $200 price for used copies means no one wanted it?

It means, as always, you have extreme fans.

The fact that it didn't sell even a million copies aka not even 1% of the market, means it was a spectacular flop.

Considering you have no idea what JRPGs typically sell like, you should stop talking. Nintendo already said Xenoblade sold well, and X right now is a big budget HD RPG that's similar to Xenoblade. If Xenoblade was a flop, why would they be making X? Monolith Soft would likely be making a different kind of game.

Also, you realize games that sell less than Xenoblade have gotten multiple entries too right? Actually I doubt you realize since you don't seem to follow JRPGs anyway going by your posts. RPGs like Disgaea or Atelier don't sell  very much, they're far from million sellers, yet they get frequent entries because the sales are  good enough. Yes, a game doesn't have to sell a million or more (which is just an arbitrary number that you made up, hence irrelevant) to be considered successful. Shocking.

Using percentages is laughable. If we're talking about the video game market, it extends far beyond the 100 million of Wii consoles sold. We're talking about potentially hundreds of millions of users out there who play games across Nintendo, Sony, MS systems as well as smartphones/tablets, PCs, and whatever else. If you compare the sales of any game to the total market out there, no game occupies much of a percentage. So, going by that logic, every game is a flop then?

Anyway, regarding this video, it's basically Xenoblade 2.0 with mechs. People really shouldn't be confused or surprised about what it plays like unless you've never seen a Xenoblade video before; from the first trailer it was obvious what it was. Xenoblade 2.0 sounds good as Xenoblade played well, and X should play even better.

Wow, I post 2 sentences and get 4 paragraphs back. This should be good!

How is less than 1% good? It begs the question of what Nintendo and you folks would call bad???

Erm, everything about Nintendos current approach is questionable and confused at the moment, be it releasing games too late or odd titles etc. They might be hoping that this one sells better due to all the hype and might think the original one flopped due to poor marketing.

Do you know how much it costs to make a game, or even just run an office for a day? Clearly not. Also I think what you and I call a success differs greatly.

Ha, so now you are moving the goal posts to suit your need. Sorry, that won't work here. It sold to less than 1% of the market. That is pathetic. Now compare it to Skyrim, or CoD and any major hit on any console of that generation. 1% is a flop.

That means all games on the Wii that sold less than 10 million units are flops.   All games on PS2 that sold less than 16 million are flops.  All games on X360 and PS3 that sold less than 8 million are pathetic flops.  Do you really want to maintain that definition of flop?

And is it not you that is pushing goal posts around?  We've been talking about the quality of the game when you shifted it to sales.

oh, the percentage fallacy. what matters are the numbers and it sold close to a million. that's great for a new ip with piss poor market and limited copies on america. plus, it was the best jrpg of the generation.

you should divide those numbers by another 10 but the argument still remains. anyway, xanoblade sold a lot considering it's situation and X has all that it takes to make the franchise grow.

XV looked like XIII, limited explorable areas and one player with one weapon. X is online multiplayer, sandbox, and much more diverse in combat. if smoothness (which I felt was no smoother than X) is all you're looking for (because you give no examples for impressiveness) then keep swallowing the S-E gravy.

[...]

I got my details of the World by the several trailers they have showed over the course of nearly a decade. And if I;m not allowed to go off of that, then why are you alloud to, lol. Double standard much? Also expand on faster paced, battle actions are far faster as well as World exploration is far faster in X. (unless you meant neither of those things, as I said I need clarification.)

All those things you say about FF XV... You take them out of your ass. Limited explorable areas? Looks like XIII? Compared to X?

Please, do elaborate. I could enjoy a good laugh from someone who's clearly swallowing an other brand's gravy.

See any XV trailer ever. PS: It's easier to do with S-E's balls out of your face.

Hey, I'm all ears. You're the one bringing it up. Go. Do elaborate. Don't be a coward.

Xenoblade Chronicles had a very limited, Gamestop exclusive release in the US. A proper, full scale release would have pushed it well over 1 million.

Nintendo of America waited on Xenoblade's European sales to release Xenoblade in America. It sold well in Europe, so they released it in America. And then Reggie said in an interview later after release that it did very well. So yeah, should I be listening to you, or the company that published the game, over how well it did?

Also, why are you comparing Xenoblade to Skyrim or CoD? You realize very, very few games sell similar to those games right? So would you call all those games flops? Who decided that if a game doesn't sell millons and millions of copies, it's a flop? Certainly not the publishers of these games.

Time spent arguing with TheJimbo1234 is time wasted that you should concentrate on someone who deserves the attention. Arguing for the sake of arguing is what he does around here. But maybe you're like that too? If that's the case, carry on and forget I said anything.
