It means, as always, you have extreme fans.
The fact that it didn't sell even a million copies aka not even 1% of the market, means it was a spectacular flop.

Considering you have no idea what JRPGs typically sell like, you should stop talking. Nintendo already said Xenoblade sold well, and X right now is a big budget HD RPG that's similar to Xenoblade. If Xenoblade was a flop, why would they be making X? Monolith Soft would likely be making a different kind of game.
Also, you realize games that sell less than Xenoblade have gotten multiple entries too right? Actually I doubt you realize since you don't seem to follow JRPGs anyway going by your posts. RPGs like Disgaea or Atelier don't sell very much, they're far from million sellers, yet they get frequent entries because the sales are good enough. Yes, a game doesn't have to sell a million or more (which is just an arbitrary number that you made up, hence irrelevant) to be considered successful. Shocking.
Using percentages is laughable. If we're talking about the video game market, it extends far beyond the 100 million of Wii consoles sold. We're talking about potentially hundreds of millions of users out there who play games across Nintendo, Sony, MS systems as well as smartphones/tablets, PCs, and whatever else. If you compare the sales of any game to the total market out there, no game occupies much of a percentage. So, going by that logic, every game is a flop then?
Anyway, regarding this video, it's basically Xenoblade 2.0 with mechs. People really shouldn't be confused or surprised about what it plays like unless you've never seen a Xenoblade video before; from the first trailer it was obvious what it was. Xenoblade 2.0 sounds good as Xenoblade played well, and X should play even better.

Wow, I post 2 sentences and get 4 paragraphs back. This should be good!
How is less than 1% good? It begs the question of what Nintendo and you folks would call bad???
Erm, everything about Nintendos current approach is questionable and confused at the moment, be it releasing games too late or odd titles etc. They might be hoping that this one sells better due to all the hype and might think the original one flopped due to poor marketing.
Do you know how much it costs to make a game, or even just run an office for a day? Clearly not. Also I think what you and I call a success differs greatly.
Ha, so now you are moving the goal posts to suit your need. Sorry, that won't work here. It sold to less than 1% of the market. That is pathetic. Now compare it to Skyrim, or CoD and any major hit on any console of that generation. 1% is a flop.

Nintendo of America waited on Xenoblade's European sales to release Xenoblade in America. It sold well in Europe, so they released it in America. And then Reggie said in an interview later after release that it did very well. So yeah, should I be listening to you, or the company that published the game, over how well it did?
Also, why are you comparing Xenoblade to Skyrim or CoD? You realize very, very few games sell similar to those games right? So would you call all those games flops? Who decided that if a game doesn't sell millons and millions of copies, it's a flop? Certainly not the publishers of these games.
