I think Ubisoft wants to see how Nintendo is doing following Mario Kart and Bayonetta then strategize shipments/marketing of Watch Dogs on Wii U based on that. If either sell really well in a short period (Especially Bayonetta), they may choose to add some last-minute touches to improve the game. But I don't think either Ubisoft or Nintendo want Bayonetta and Watch Dogs go head-to-head at the same time the Wii U 'adult' gamer. There's not too much to spread for the Wii U, but you have to spread it somehow.

Sorry but it's entirely nintendo fans fault ( + nintendo fault), those who dont buy the game and prefered to buy mario, just look at the sales of their exclusive new ip bundled at the launch, they invested a lot in this game, just for Wii U, so we cant blame them,  they tried but most of the Wii U gamers  ignored their  new innovative good game and prefered to buy an other mario instead.

I just want to say that Assassins Creed 4 has been out for four months.....to whom it may concern.

My feelings exactly. Now I'll have more time to read reviews and guage everyone's reactions to it, and patches can come along faster. Not saying this delay is a good thing, but let's look at the bright side, at least.

they are simply focusing their resources and developers on the versions that will most likely make them money to get them out in time, its as simple as that.

I'm thinking about buying it, but I need to see some reviews and get some opinions. Is it better than AC3, and how much better? Because I'm playing through AC3 right now, and I can't stop thinking of how I'm so glad I only paid $20 for this glitchfest that took trudging through the first 6-7 hours to get to anything resembling fun.

This tells me two things, firstly that the already delayed game is still buggy and Ubisoft are working around the clock to get this game to a point where it can even be mentioned in the same sentence and GTA V.
Also, many people who own multiple consoles were seriously looking at getting the Wii U version of this game, now with the delay they probably won't wait and get it on another console, then when the Wii U version comes out sales will be lower than expected and Ubisoft will use those figures as proof the Wii U can't see 3rd party titles. This like EA with the crappy versions of Madden and Fifa they released on a console with a low user base. This is a big blow for Wii U as a whole because it will stifle future 3rd party releases.
Also, I have been gaming long enough to know that when a game is delayed, delayed and chopped and changed for this long it generally sucks....

Good, good. Let Ubisoft destroy all remaining goodwill with Wii U owners.

So it's Nintendo's fault the consumers prefer a quality game like Mario over a third party game. OK then. Here that Nintendo? Stop making Mario games, then the consumers and the third parties will come.
