Do they make the best platformer and kart racing, definately the latter mostly the former, there are many great platform games made by others.

Do they make the best FPS? No
Third Person Shooter? No
Racing Game? No
Puzzle Game? No
RPG? Yes
Light Gun/Rail Shooter? No
RTS? No
MMORPG? No
Fighting Game? Yes
Sandbox Game? No
Beat Em Up? No
Run and Gun? No
Vertical/Horizontal Shooter? No
Arcade Games/Arcade Style? No
Party Games? Sure
Text/Point and Click Adventures? No
Survival Horror? No
Stealth Game? No
City Building/Management Sims-ish? No
Strategy? No
Sports? No
Hack and Slash? No
Tower Defense? No

Can't think of any other genres but Nintendo has great Party games (if you don't consider playing online party games), best Kart racers and great platform games but there are plenty of great platformers over the years.

Fixed a couple there.

Best RPG?  Which is?  Not Pokemon of course because Pokemon was not developed by Nintendo, Game Freak is not Nintendo and exclusives are not always developed by Nintendo.

Wow.  You are not much of an RPG fan if you haven't heard of Xenoblade, the best and best rated RPG of last gen.  Among the very best games in fact.

Not an RPG fan but of course I've heard of it.  It sold less than a million, was not the best selling RPG of it's generation, and was not made by Nintendo, so you'll excuse my confusion when you said Nintendo made the best RPG's.

You are quite confused on the topic, It is made by Nintendo.

Wow, so making one outstanding game, inbetween a whole lot of mediocre ones is already enough to become the best RPG developer in the industry, good to know.

I would put Monolith as the best right now, until I see their next title.  The game was that good.  And they have the pedigree, the Xeno- games are widely hailed as among the very best of the PS2 era... though my heart is with Final Fantasy of those days.  I feel Monolith exceeds them right now.  My mind may change when X and FFXV are released.

I only played Xenogears 2 on PS2 and that game was incredibly dull to me (and I too loved Final Fantasy during that time). Also you should specify that you're talking about JRPGs here, cause if you're talking about RPGs in general then you're forgetting about a little game that has beaten Xenoblade in critical acclaim and simply crushed it in commercial success, which also comes from a developer that has a much better track record than Monolith.

No, I'm saying all RPG's.  I've played Skyrim and didn't especially enjoy it and I really like Mass Effect but I would rank Xenoblade above it.  Everyone's entitled to their opinions, but I put Xenoblade above anything since FFX in my all-time list for RPG's.

Based on the o.p's opinion= Yes.

Based my opinion=No.

You certainly have a golden touch RolStoppable. I find it extremely amusing and extremely disheartening at the same time to read these threads. No one can shake the tree and get the nuts to fall quite like you, which is funny, but depressing to see what people conjure up as a reply.

And then of course there is the topic that people still bite on these after how many years? Again, extremely funny, but also hugely depressing to see what kind of minds frequents this site.

Well...actually, I agree. Though its subjective so who cares.

People put their money towards the best games.

Then Call of Duty Ghosts is light years better than 3D World

3D world sucks then lmao! But then all vita games are terrible if this logic exist

they have more :) Fire emblem is very good! Highest rated handheld game of the generation (if you dont include remakes/ports)

So pop music is the best music ever created? And Budweiser is the best beer ever made? And McDonald's is good? Oh wait, nevermind, those are all just cheap and accessible and liked by pre 18 yr old people the most of their market.
