my biggest gripe with GTA is that it is too serious, which is why i enjoy Saints Row a bit more nowadays.

Have you played Grand Theft Auto V? It's the funniest game I've ever played. The jokes really reminded me of Pulp Fiction..it was dark but a real laugh out loud kind of movie.

yes i have played it, otherwise i would have not commented in this thread, and i stand by what i said, the game is too serious in my opinion as was GTA4 to an even worse degree.

On the basis that it's Meta score is the highest for the year, and the highest equal for the past 5 years, yet The Last of Us won by far the most GOTY's that suggests GTA V was definitely overrated somewhat by the critics.

Of course that's more of a criticism of the reviewing system. 10s are handed out like candy so there's no predictive value with most reviewers because they give about 10 games per year a perfect score.

Metacritic should de-register reviewers who hand out more than three 10's per year.
