A better argument could be made that Final Fantasy series is over rated. Final Fantasy series over the last 10 years has been in free fall in regards to sales, the quality and standards of the game series has fallen. Final Fantasy developers Square-Enix have even resorted to releasing the old games from 15 to 20+ years on portables and via digital downloads on console networks.

Why do you specifically talk about the 'numbered' games? Vice City an San Andreas where just as much GTA as the others (and not expansion packs).

I did play Sleeping Dogs when it came for free on Xbox Live Gold, didn't think much of it either. I stopped right after the bus driving mission. Maybey I'm just fed up with that same old open world gangsta style boring missions kind of gameplay.

yes i have played it, otherwise i would have not commented in this thread, and i stand by what i said, the game is too serious in my opinion as was GTA4 to an even worse degree.


You're doing something wrong if you take this game seriously. Almost everything GTAV does is satirical. If you thought that game was serious, you've missed the ENTIRE POINT OF THE GAME. 

No i get that it is satire, but the tone of the characters and the tone of the game is serious, it can still have humor but also be serious which is how i find GTA to be.

I guess if someone would score it an 11 out if 10 then yes it would be overrated.

Personally I don't care much for Gta. Played a bit of SA and 4 but it just isn't my cup of tea.

A few of the villians are serious. It's a serious plot thrown into a rediculous and humorous world. And most of the serious plot is still satire in some  way.
