Forums - Nintendo - Wii U games that utilize 2 Gamepads

It'll never happen. The second controller will be too overpriced, and not enough games will end up utilizing the functionality. It's far too late for this idea to come to fruition and actually take off.

Someone mentioned on an older thread, but Yu-Gi-Oh! would've awesome!

Yes, I did. And I still dreamin about.

Yu-Gi-Oh with 2 gamepads > Win for life

Would have been cool in co-op games, like other people said.

Never thought of Yu-Gi-Oh on Wii U, but now that you mention it that sounds like an awesome idea!

The Gamepad idea was cool for a second, then Nintendo didn't reassure me of it. They haven't really used it in "mindblowing" ways like they had promised. I loved Nintendoland but I want something to that effect to fit in with Mario or Zelda. Hopefully, the new Zelda uses the gamepad to the fullest.

I think he meant two remotes for one person? I can't say I do know of any...

On topic: There definitely would have been some really cool uses for it, but the price of those controllers is absurd.

First off  who says you have to buy a second gamepad? Since Nintendo is all about local coop  just invite a friend that owns a WiiU so he can bring over his gamepad  et voila.

2)  The second controller compatibility has already been patched into the WiiU firmware with an update. No point in patching it in and not using it.

I believe two Gamepads allow for interesting things to take place, but right now Nintendo has to sell more Wii Us before they move on to doing two Gamepads.
