Wiil DKC:TF help Wii U sales?

It's going to help a bit, but it's not going to magically make WiiU the hottest thing on the market.

It'll probably go up for a week or two, but then cool off again until a likely larger spike for Mario Kart, stay up for maybe a week or two, and then go down, and then go up for the next release....I think keeping Wii U sales up has to do with more than simply releasing games, a serious marketing approach needs to be in effect as well.

All new software is a help. How much it helps is the question.

honestly it seems that DKC has always been a game that people bought becasue they have the system, but not something to get a system for.

DKC1 was a MASSIVE hardware mover back on the SNES.

Ultimately, I say no. I do think it'll have legs and be a profitable venture, especially if it turns out similar in quality to the last DK game on the Wii. It just doesn't seem to have the same level of anticipation going for it. Frankly, I kind blame it on the name. Tropical Freeze sounds a bit underwhelming as a sequel title. It sounds like something you'd name a DLC with. Maro Kart and Super Smash Bros will be the big hardware movers in my opinion.

Nice avatar.

how much did it move? what is massive? did it move consoles cause it was DK? or cause that game released during the holidays where Ninty products usually fly off the shelves anyway? im going to go with the former or a combination of both

Its widely credited as the main reason SNES ended up beating Genesis in America

is there a source? do we know what it sold at release? and again how do you know that holiday boost didnt play a factor? was their a price cut?

no one game is going to save the Wii U (which many people have said), however Nintendo can boost its appeal by releasing more quality titles.
