Uncharted 3.
The inclusion of the awesome Multi-Player alone, places it way above the original. Not saying that the original was not stellar, but 3 is just so much more refined.

Out of those two, it would be Uncharted 3 easily. Uncharted 2 is still the best for its story, gameplay, locations, fun factor.

I don't understand people who say Uncharted is too hard. I finished UC1 on "impossible" difficulty for the platinum (used trophy guide for the treasures) and it was pretty much the first time I'd ever played a TPS style game. OK I played all the Ratchet and Clank games on PS2 and Jak 2 and 3 so I was somewhat prepared, but still the gun play in those games is nothing like the cover based shooting in Uncharted.

And while I'm an enthusiastic gamer I'm by no means a highly skilled gamer.

I'm going to vote Uncharted 1, because to me it had the best platforming elements. And because being about the first game I played on PS3 it blew me away in terms of visuals compared to what I'd been seeing on PS2. Uncharted 2 was mind blowing because of how much more awesomer than Uncharted 1 it was in all respect (except the gimping of the platforming). Uncharted 3 was merely a tweaked Uncharted 2, and with the lamest final boss fight of all 3, so it was the least impressive of the series, albeit it is a fantastic game.

I've platinumed all 3 UC games, and I only patinum games I really really like, as long as it's not too hard to platinum (like Demon's Souls is bloody impossible for me to conceive of platinuming even though I like it better than all the UC games)

U1 had a better wow factor in that it was a huge leap forward in its time.

...but U3 is clearly the better game by every other metric.

The Uncharted series is a lot like Nolan's Batman series, to me:

The first was a new, fresh entry that captivated people. Then the second broke every standard imaginable and set the bar way too high. Then the third, while still really good, couldn't possibly match the standard the second set, so it felt relatively "inferior". But because it tried to match the greatness of the second, it ended up better than the first.

Úncharted 3 because Drake is so hot in that game that I'd have sex with him with no hesitation if he was real and gay :P

On a serious note, the scene where they enter the city of Atlantis of the Sands is the most amazing thing I've seen in a game so far :) Plus I loved the story, gameplay and graphics overall :)

Uncharted 1 = 7.5/10
Uncharted 2 = 9/10
Uncharted 3 = 8.5/10

I think UC3 > UC1. I feel the first game had more charm to it but the third game is just better in almost every way.

1 is bad and 3 only marginally better.

2 is the best and only really good game in the series

...a huge part of the Uncharted games is their overall presentation.

They want you to be in awe and marvel at the setpieces. Uncharted 1 falls flar on its face in that regard with atrocious screen tearing, not so great graphics (Yes, the game came out in 2007, I know)...and the grand majority of gameplay is just shooting boring bullet sponge enemys.

Uncharted 3 has the better setpieces, but it couldn´t successfully hide the big gameplay flaws the series has (what 2 actually acomplished imo).

"....and suddenly *smoke and mirrors* Drake is at the ship-graveyard !!!" just felt out of place

Uncharted 3, it had the best story out of the three games.

Uncharted 3. While not as good as the best game ever Uncharted 2, still felt ahead of 1 with more varied gameplay, locations and it has a surprisingly good multiplayer mode too
