I haven't played UC3 yet, but I really hope it's better than UC1! That wasn't really a great game. I really felt it was over hyped (and still is). I enjoy UC2 a lot more than UC1, but I kinda hope UC3 will be better than UC2 as well.
I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!
Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
Uncharted 3..

The game felt a bit like it was just jumping from set piece to set piece at times. I didn't really care for my first time through. Second playthrough I enjoyed it a lot more; wandering the desert was very good, and the horse back/convey level was genuinely fantastic - pure cowboy, but it's still the weakest in the trilogy in my opinion - too many set pieces that feel like inferior versions of Uncharted 2. The first one was definitely a little raw and unrefined, but it was always lighthearted and charming. The jungle environments were great, the story was good, pure Indiana Jones fun. Gameplay-wise, on the hardest difficulty it was just right - the limited ammo meant you were constantly on the run, trying to use the environment as best you can. It took Gears of War and made it so much more fluid. Both games had rubbish final bosses though! |
This!
Uncharted 3 felt a bit disjointed. I have similar issues with Uncharted 3 as I do with Killzone 3. Not to mention that the controls was very bad in U3..yet they kept saying it was exactly the same. There was something wrong with the latency thats for sure. Then they claimed they fixed it but it still felt a bit off. Some great set pieces in 3 though.
Uncharted 2 gets the nod for me for best Uncharted, as it has all the best bits from 1 and 3
All three games reach the "excellent" label in my book, but 3 is definitely better than 1. My one biggest gripe with U1 is that it envolves too much trial and error, thanks to the endless horde of enemies. I swear, there were times when the bad guys would never stop coming. They fixed this on the sequels, thankfully. But I do agree that U1 does have a slightly bigger WOW factor, especially regarding the story. I played it expecting a fun action game with a bleh story, but it's good to be wrong some times.
Although the first game has possibly my favorite part of the trilogy. Near the end, with the spaniards (people who played the game will know what I'm talking about). I LOVE that part, it kept me on the edge of my seat.

And what's up with these complains about U3's controls? I noticed nothing different AT ALL, guys

Did you get it at launch? Because they patched in UC2 control at some point.

Oh, no, didn't play it at launch. What was wrong with it after all?

I wouldn't say it was wrong but it was different and after playing through Uncharted 2 three times it was really unsettling.

I did not enjoy Uncharted 1, took me until after 3 came out to try 2 and after enjoying it found 3 to be more of the same in a good way.
To me, goes
Uncharted 1 = 5/10
Uncharted 2 = 9/10
Uncharted 3 = 8/10
