PS4: I got it because of the Sony fanboy in me. Purchased it day 1, haven't played it much. I have 3 games for it, but I haven't played them much.
3DS: I got it because of all of the games, and because when it comes to handhelds I'm a Nintendo fanboy. I have only 2 games for it, after over 1 year of owning it.
PSV: It looks good. I would get it if I had the money
WiiU: I want to get it, but I have to save up money for my trip to France. I would get mainly for Super Smash Bros., but I guess that I'll have to hold off.
XBO: I've played it at my aunt and uncle's house. I liked Dead Rising 3, but that's not enough to justify the purchase for me.

yes, hopefully. the gamepad is way too big for me, at least for long playtimes. but they need more titles cause i cant buy a system for 1 game. maybe sakaguchi is making something for the wii u, that would be a nice push for me.

3DS: I bought this because there was a deal at Gamestop where I could get one for only $100 as long as I traded in my DS. Since I had two DS', it was good trade. I've only bought about 4 or 5 games for it though. I've had a lot of fun with Mario Kart 7 and Pokemon Y.

Vita: Bought it at launch since I really liked what Sony was doing with the hardware, it's still the nicest handheld I've ever held. I've put a lot of time into Persona 4 Golden and Gravity Rush, currently playing through Soul Sacrifice. I'm also digging the remote play feature.

PS4: Bought this at launch too because it was the console that interested me the most. I'm a huge fan of Sony's 1st party developers and I know they won't disappoint me. I've been having a ton of fun with it, mainly playing Killzone Shadow Fall and Resogun. Right now I'm eagerly awaiting Infamous Second Son and The Order 1886.

XBO: Don't own one and don't particularly want to. I don't care for Microsoft's first party teams, and I have zero interest in Kinect.

WiiU: I'll consider this when Mario Kart and Smash come out, hopefully with another pricedrop. There's barely any games on the system I want to play right now so I'm just going to wait.

I already have a 3DS and I love it. The little guy has a great catalogue thus far.

PS4: I'll wait for more JRPG's to starting popping up.

XB1: I'm not sure if I'm even slightly interested in buying one. I'll wait for more games.

Vita: I like its catalogue. From clips i've seen a lot of the games look good but the price of the memory cards and what not is a bit off putting.

Damn... I bought all the consoles listed, so I guess I'll give my reasons why.

Wii U- Nice price and BC. Really didn't like the console at launch (tons of error codes and a bunch of problems). Had only 4 games until this past August, that number has tripled ever since. It has gotten better, but it will be my secondary console.

3DS- Bought it at launch, and even bought the XL. Absolutely amazing system, do not want to keep gushing over this thing, as a lot of people already have. Currently over 30 games retail.

Vita- Got it as a self birthday present May 2012. It's been a struggle with the Vita, but I definitely like it more than I did at launch. There was a long stretch of time (nearly a year) where I didn't even power the system on. I've played it a lot more since and it's gotten better.

One- Christmas present. I've said enough about the One, I love it, and can't wait until further updates to make it even better (for me). It's used for TV and blu-ray/DVD, so it get's a ton of use.

PS4- Spur of the moment buy, I knew I was going to get it for Infamous, but I just got it sooner. I don't have any games yet for it :( Am looking to buy Killzone and Knack.

3DS: Already got it, faith in Nintendo, love it most.

Wii-U: Already got it, faith in Nintendo, despite loving the Gamepad I almost doubted it'd pay off for a while... it did.

Vita: For all the abuse it gets, I find it an interesting proposition. Might pick up a second-hand one at some point if I can find it cheap.

PS4: I wanna try a Final Fantasy game... I've already tried a KH game on 3DS, not something I'd buy a console for but quite engaging (the DIVE sections make me want a Star-Fox game even more... just like Kid-Icarus: Uprising.) - I might get it if they get any very interesting games... I want a reason to get it.

Xbox One: I don't care for shooters and the last two Fable games were a let down. After the DRM scare Microsoft would need a miracle to catch me as a consumer.

Steam Box: - Gonna happen! Faith in Valve. Kinda anxious.

You didn't mention Wii-U... tell us what it would take for you to get one of those too!

Also, original poster - you skipped Pikmin? Why and how? It was my second Pikmin game but the first I really got into; mindblowing! Second-screen mapping is awesome!

Wii U: Mario 3D World, Tropical Freeze, Bayonetta 2, X.
Have so far enjoyed it immensely.

Wii U- I bought it cause free online and I love Nintendo games, loving it so far, needs more games

3DS- I bought it cause free online and I love Handheld Nintendo games, loving it like crazy, has too many games

Vita- I bought it cause I loved the psp but I soon sold it cause it was nothing like the psp in terms of software support imo

PS4- I want to buy it because FFXV, Metal Gear Solid V, KH3 and JRPGs with that Sony Quality and etc... the only thing that's stopping me atm is $400 + mandatory $60/year psn and a lack of titles that I would enjoy atm... I just can't yet...

Xbox One- I wouldn't mind getting this cause I love the controller but $500 + mandatory $60/year xbla... Thats why I didn't get a 360 last gen
