So far only have the 3DS and the Wii U, planning to get a PS4 late this year.

The 3DS is quickly becoming one of my favourite consoles of all time, almost surpassing the DS in sheer volume of great games. If it's amazing lineup continues in 2014 and 2015 it might well rival the almighty SNES.

Only bought my Wii U two weeks ago, but so far I'm enjoying it a lot. WW HD was the best HD remaster I've played and Super Mario 3D World is a breath of fresh air. There's so much variety on it, it's becoming one my favourite 3D marios pretty fast.

You need to work on not getting worked up so easily. ;)

Have you tried Pikmin 3? It was the first Pikmin I really got into and it was amazing. 

3DS - Bought for Fire Emblem

Wii U - Bought for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

Vita - Nothing compelling here.

PS4 - Nothing on the horizon yet, might get one years later when hardware and software are cheap.

XBone - Nothing on the horizon. Given that PS4 is cheaper and more likely to attract the oddball Japanese stuff I dig, probably never will.

Steam - Actually, I'm thinking of digging deeper into PC gaming. I prefer a "lean-back" experience, but being able to buy most western titles with all DLC for $20 or less, better performance, and some modding options… well, the software savings might pay for the hardware outlay.

X1 was for sports TV integration and somewhat new Halo, Fable, and Trials. PS4 was because of Sony's ridiculously always best in class exclusives and the dual shock 4. So far PS4 is definitely better. The Kinect commands are stupid and super gimmicky and I already stopped using them, and Ryse was one of the worst gaming experiences I have had in awhile. Piss poor fighting mechanics and a huge waste of 60 bucks. Was a chore to play through full 1 time. The TV integration and ease of multitasking on XB are great though.  I also love how you can customize the home screen how you want on XB.  PS4 doesn't allow any customization of the main screen. 

Have enjoyed almost everything on PS4. Killzone did not reinvent the wheel but it goes well with the other entries in series. Decent multiplayer too. It is better than 3, but 2 and Mercenary are probably better than SF. Resogun is amazing, unlimited fun factor. AC4 on PS4 destroys it on XB1. The loading times on PS4 are almost nonexistent and they did a great job on the way the system handles downloads. 2 biggest drawbacks- The blue background not being able to be turned off or changed is starting to drive me nuts. It is too bright and static. The dual shock 4 battery life is terrible and really noticeable. If I had to guess an estimate, I would say it probably lasts for somewhere between 30-40% of the time of DS3. You basically have to buy 2 and one is almost always on the charger. 

Also, I havn't really looked into its security features a lot and dont even know if it has any, but the Live on Playstation streaming app has completely dumbass people all over it streaming their living room dry firing rifles at the screen, and showing gigantic stacks of cash and drugs and rapping drunk girls and whatnot.  If your kids are using PS4 there needs to be a lockout function for that app or a funtion that only allows game streaming.  The app sorts these feeds by number of viewers too so it is almost impossible to avoid these ridiculous morons.  If you want to go watch NFS or KZ gameplay or something, everytime you enter the app you have to scroll through 5-10 wannabe rap drug dealer channels.  It is annoying and kids shouldn't be watching the bottom of the barrell and future guest on the TV show COPS on their TV...

Vita is excellent. Soul Sacrifice, Gravity Rush, KZ Mercenary, Persona, and Unit 13 alone make it worth buying and it has tons more. I don't have WiiU but will 90% likely get one for Hyrule Warriors.

If anything the 7th gen taught me it is that the loser tends to give out the best deals to catch up. Fast price cuts, more slim revisions, more free games......all in an effort to claw their way into more relevance.

With X1, I will buy it when it drops in price, whether on its own or via dropping mandatory kinect. A slim version wouldn't hurt. Soooo Id give it 2 years for those wishes to hopefully come true. In that time they will improve all the complaints and the library will be large enough to make good selective choices. I can wait.

I was originally planning on picking up a PS4 for the Infamous: SS launch, but now I think I'm going to jump in a bit early with the Japanese release to take advantage of the FF XIV beta.
