Well its a bit of an overkill at the moment, but as somebody above mentioned, it will be an editing beast
To bad I wont have the money for it :(
Vote the Mayor for Mayor!
will have to wait until a game developer produce a game that will use it to its fullest capabilities. probably might never happen.

Because this is a dual GPU card and more powerful than anything Maxwell will have available for a long time. |
Unless history repeats itself. In the year that followed the start of the 7th console generation, GPU peformance made a major leap:

The single GPU 8800 GTX was up to 50% faster than the (only a few months older) dual GPU 7950 GX2, less noisy, cooler temperatures and no SLI problems.
Perhaps Nvidia steps up its game again. They have to compete again with a fresh console generation and even the names are similar:
8800 GTX > 7950 GX2 (2006), GTX 880 > GTX 790 (2014)
But does it's name sound as awesome and powerful as 'TITAN'?
Anyway, yeah that seems like it'll be able to break some bottles. My budget won't ever be so high for a video-card though, and for mere gaming it isn't really necessary yet...
Wow...Just wow...Might be the card I have to upgrade to for The Witcher 3 to even get close to 60 fps though haha. My 680 wont do the game justice, have to see what the Maxwell GPU's specs are though.
