Yes, I expected the Wii U to overtake the Vita.

Thats news to me too, did Sony make any announcement about it? I thought it sold not very well in Japan :(.

This came to mind.  Go Wii U!

I expected Wii U's YTD figures to be ahead of Vita's all year long. Can't believe it took it until December to catch up.

Hopefully both systems see a stronger 2014.

I know portables tend to outsell home consoles but have short life spans (aside from the super stamina of the O.G. Gameboy family) but I fully expected the Wii U to blow away the Vita's abysmal opening. For me, it's a bit embarrassing to see the Wii U struggle in this way. The less attention drawn to the Wii U vs Vita battle, the better.

Eh, it is nothing to celebrate. It should have happened a loooooooong time ago, however, it's a start.mi expect no contest in 2014.

Nothing too official, but still shows a sign that it will come over. 

People were also saying that PS4 would outsell WiiU's lifetime sales in a month (obviously impossible because of supply issues).  Sometimes people just have foolish expectations.
