Lol I'm sure it will get a sequel with the critical reception that it received. I'm just hoping that the controls are improved in later iterations.

It's for me one of the best 3DS-games. I had no problems with the controls, the game is challenging, the dialogue is funny and the overall experience is enjoyable. But I think, everyone has different tastes, so I can see that a few people might not enjoy it.

Nah, the control layout is very similiar to Metroid Prime Hunters on the DS which I spent hours playing multiplayer with friends, so I guess I got used to it. Unfortunately just like MPH, Kid Icarus broke my L button so I need to get a new 3DS sometime. |
how long did it take you to get used to the control, if you don't mind me asking? I think it might be because I've become too accustomed with traditional controls that I'm now reluctant to change the way I play.

I spent a bit of time maybe like 10 to 15 minutes in the game's practice mode for land battles just to get used to the camera, movement and attacking and after that I was set.
Easily my favorite game on the 3DS. Control problems just arise because 99% of games out there use the same or similar controls. This is something unique so it takes more time. Amazing game though.
- OK game
- Not a Kid Icarus game
- Future Kid Icarus games will no doubt pretend it's the only Kid Icarus game that existed

Definitely a Kid Icarus game. Franchises do tend to change after 20 years or so.
It's my second favorite game of 2012, second only to Xenoblade...
I used the stand once and promptly made a point of losing it...
Every person I've ever heard say that the controls are terrible eventually retracted their statement...
Will you be the first not to???
Have a nice day...

I probably will be but I am willing to give it another go and will tell you the outcome.
It was one of the funniest games I've ever played. I laughed so hard that I didn't even feel the pain in my hand after playing it for 6 hours straight. Yeah, the controls are awkward, but the game itself made up for it to me. The music was amazing as well.
And later on, on the 3DS XL, I actually found the controls to not be as handstraining as on the original 3DS. Maybe that helped me enjoy the game, too.
