We'll see how it does. There are still some unannounced titles, so there's some hope. People shouldn't count out or underestimate Vita too much, because it shows time and time again that whenever it has compelling software people flock to it.

No you are not nuts, but I don't see the system selling 4.5 next year because out of all the games announced so far, I don't see a high system seller, don't get me wrong they will sell but not as high as you are saying.

YES definitely. For the other point, it's not about sales, MH Frontier is a pay to play so it generated much more than that.

And why would you be so sure 3DS will get a new MH ? I thought they had a timed exclusive deal with Nintendo, but MH:F coming to Vita shows that it's over, now's the time when Sony should negociate. But who knows ?

I know i'm being optimist with my prediction, but Vita can surprise us.

Yes you're absolutely right, but what if Sony could bring an FF ? or DQ back ? Sony is trying to negociate with third developers with that special unit they created, which is promising for me.

and @small44, MGS V and KH III could run on Vita ;)

Cuz 2 things. 1. Capcom stated that they rather keep MH installbase on one system. 2. It'll make them alot more money if they keep it Nintendo Exclusive instead of Sony Exclusive. (im not saying dont make it Multiplat but Capcom doesn't show any interest.)

3DS is cheaper to develop for and as we all see it has 3.5mil+ userbase on it (and counting).

If sold on 3DS exclusive it'll easily do 3mil+ If sold on Vita it might do about a mil (possibly up to 1.2mil-1.3mil) with extra cost of development.

We are not discussing if Famitsu is bad or good. It however is the biggest magazine in Japan and thus it is relevant in Japanese market. And the whole point about Frontier being a bad game is based on sales... For crying outloud the game was released in Japan only first on PC and later on XB360... Obviously 2 most popular MH platforms... And it is/was an MMO.

It might sell better on Vita.

At the moment, the Vita's library looks a lot better than the 3DS for 2014, but Nintendo must have a bunch of unannounced games. I wouldn't be surprised to see Monster Hunter 4G, Dragon Quest XI, and Pokemon X2/Y2 next year.

Maybe if Sony bundled the Vita TV and PS4 together for $500, and makes the DS4 compatible with the Vita TV it MIGHT have a shot at beating the 3DS. Though a very small one.

Unless it has a break through game then no. Maybe 2015..
