We are not discussing if Famitsu is bad or good. It however is the biggest magazine in Japan and thus it is relevant in Japanese market. And the whole point about Frontier being a bad game is based on sales... For crying outloud the game was released in Japan only first on PC and later on XB360... Obviously 2 most popular MH platforms... And it is/was an MMO.

It might sell better on Vita.


It bombed on PS3+WiiU and On Vita its nowhere to be seen (Amazon top 100/ COMG /Etc). Its coming out in less than a month right? It probably wont hit 50k lifetime. Im just saying lots of people were disappointed with the announcement!

I have lost my hopes for Vita. Hopefully it can surprise me. Lots of developers are still shying away from it, and that annoys me.

4 million = 80k every week.. Did you think about it? How many weeks in 2013 did vita manage to sell around 80k?

I'm pretty sure it has a lot to do with the fact that a lot of Vita games are incompatible with Vita TV. Due to the touch screen and all. That's why I think sales could improve with DS4 compatibility, since it's touch pad can serve as a replacement for the touch screen on the Vita.

Oh yeah -_-

 It has managed 60k+ 3 times this year(2 weeks back to back with Vita's Price Cut and SS release and GE2/Vita TV release it got 90k)

 

So it needs 40k avg weeks to hit 2mil o.O  It hit 40k+ maybe 5-6 times this year

Yes you're absolutely right, but what if Sony could bring an FF ? or DQ back ? Sony is trying to negociate with third developers with that special unit they created, which is promising for me.

and @small44, MGS V and KH III could run on Vita ;)


DQ is next to impossible, because time has shown that the franchise sales really we'll on Nintendo handhelds, so SQ will not take the risk of putting it on a system that is not #1. FF is a wild card, we are not sure if SQ has the time to make exclusive FF for vita seeing that all the FF they have announced have been multipalt.

Well, there might be some logic if the 3DS is reaching saturation. We're still not seeing it though.

From where did you get that info? Capcom said in 2014, they never said January 2014. And as for now it's still unclear if there'll be a retail copy at all or not. 

Phantasy Star On-line did well on Vita, and MH Frontier G could do well as well. If Frontier G fails it's not because it's a bad game, but because unlike SEGA Capcom still thinks that it can milk the monthly fee out of it's fan base.
