Seems like the whole EU was only 24% of first week sales for GT5 (GT5 first week 1.03mill vs GT6 245k  of previous GT sales!)

Add that to N.A (240k) and Japan (200K) that's only 685K, quite the fall compared to GT5's 2.38 mill opening week. I believe that means GT6 has only opened up to 29% of GT5's opening weekend.

You seem to really be pushing "bomb" despite the fact that  we don't know the full/real numbers yet. That, and even if the current numbers (and your estimate for Japan) were correct that's still certainly no "bomb". It's also important to remember that GT5 came out on a wednesday while GT6 came out on a friday.

You really think they sold LESS copies than the pre-orders? hahahaha!

No, I beleive the preorders were innacurate.

SMW3D came out on a Friday as well and with the sales it did on a console of only 4 Million (now in the ballapark of 4.5) it was an apparent bomb so therefore GT6 must be a bomb as well!. Read my posts through the whole thread and you'll understand what I'm doing!

Trolling?  You have no evidence to support that the pre-orders were wrong but the sales are right. You just want that to be the case.

GT5 had more days to sell in it's first week. GT6 had one...

And no. Forza 5 has no chance to out sell GT6. not gonna happen.

It was pretty obvious to me that GT6 would sell less than GT5. GT5 sold well because it was the first GT on the system in a time when the PS3's library wasn't as strong as it is today. Plus we're in the twilight years of the PS3's life and all the excitement is now on the PS4.

That said, GT6 will still sell well, but low for GT's standards. GT has always had 'long legs'.

I wouldn't be shocked if GT6 bombed. All of the reviews have basically called it a rehash, that still refuses to fix prior issues, and almost all of Sonys 1st Party software lately has bombed, even with an install base of 80 million.

GT5 no digital version, DISK ONLY.  GT6 yes available on PSN.  

Next time can you educate yourself on the matter before posting bs.  Do you comprehand the significence of it when comapring sales between GT5 and GT6? 

Any one with half a brain knows how negativly weather can affects retail, im sure some one here worked in stores and can tell you.  And i know it did going by plenty on Gtplanet changing to digital over disk due to winter storms in their area.  Surprisingly a lot of them went digital over disk from day one, or maybe not digital sales are rather good on PC.  Natural progression.

Thought GT5 was available digitally my bad.

This isn't fairy tale dream land where a game that "BOMBS" magically sells an astonishing amount of digital copies at $59.99. You clearly have no clue what you are talking about and your fanboyism is blinding you! Please for a moment, take off the rose coloured glasses. Bad weather affects reail however, I highly doubt there was this significant number of people waiting that day  going "oh no bad weather, guess i'll go download". I mean, even assuming that is completely illogical. 

Also please provide links to where exactly these winter storms were occuring during that weekend. Seems like all the other games released from what the figures show, still managed reasonable sales.

And none here do.  Only legit numbers we know are Japan and thats disk only no digital, vg numbers are miss quite often and holidays sales make it even harder for them to guesstamate.  

Ill be some time before real ww numbers are known.  

Maybe research shit out your self, actually know wtf you are posting about.

We have a clear indication of the numbers. Actually if anything, VG numbers are probably a little too high for the U.S (I suspect it's lower). 

I did my research, as the previous comments indicate but it doesn't seem that you can read very clearly.Your just commenting out of pure blind fanboyism. Did you not read the countless articles of GT6 selling 1/5th of the previous game in the UK?. We'll have theglobal numbers in the next few days, which will indicate that I was right.

Gt5 first week had 4 days of sales, gt6 had two.... u really so blind that you think double the sales time makes no difference.

So eel talking out ur ass without for a second wraping ur mind around facts.  Pd updates their numbers, we will have legit numbers eveantually.
