Maybe next time everyone shouldn't break their hype meters, eh? This is what ruins everything, you expect too much from a company that hasn't given much at all recently. Conference wise.
I think they have a very short term plan, but they are missing the long term hype. Yes, Donkey Kong looks great and is the next game on the pipeline, but you need to get people excited about the future, many players buy their consoles for the games that will come in the future, not only the ones available right now.
This was a great opportunity to show something else, something very few gamers were aware of, like X from Monolith soft, or something really new that will show that the console has a bright future ahead and is worth buying now for what is out, but also for what is to come.

More importantly Squeenix why is my PC version of Tomb Raider crippled by shitty ps360 tech. But at the same time "1080p nextgen needed to get better faces and better textures and more polygons etc" seriously they better make the PC buyers get the definitive version upgrades for free.

Well good news is that in hindsight, VGX overall has been genuinely terrible.. so Donkey Kong being shown is pretty par for the course.

I expected Mario Kart 8 or Yarn Yoshi, and I'm still mad.
Yeah they lost a chance to shine. But, the show is beeing a disaster all around, so its not making such a big difference. Theres nothing from Microsoft and nothing from Sony, at least so far. The best stuff is actually indie.
