Do you think showing DK was a good idea?

Damn guys what's wrong with you? The show was awful to watch. That was probably the only good thing that was featured in the VGX. Could you just calm the fuck down? They got lots of great games for Q1-Q2, just wait for another Direct or E3 to get announcements. Nintendo doesn't carry the whole fucking world on its shoulders.

Why do so many people on this forum hate Donkey Kong Country? First the E3 meltdown, and now this!

I don't think many people hate DKC, the problem is that they were expecting something else, something new maybe, something that appeals more to the type of people who watches this show. The people is dissapointed just that.

VGX was a 3rd rate award show. While showing leaked news wasn't very smart, neither would dropping a big name franchise on such a mediocre show. I think they made the right choice. They do need a Nintendo Direct though, real bad.

And you're saying that people who watch this show have little to no interest in good games?

Nop, I am saying that the audience of the channel appreciates more games like Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto than Donkey Kong, things that are more teen-mature rated, gritty and realistic looking, than charming, fun and cartoony looking.

If this is true, then the problem isn't Donkey Kong. The problem is that Nintendo decided to show up in the first place.

I gave in to the internet hype hoping it was Zelda, but after watching the show, something like Zelda is better to be shown off on a Nintendo Direct, exactly how they would want to present it.

Good for them for showing off DK, its some advertisement, which is good!

Nintendo could have shown a different game, let's say Bayonetta 2 with a release date, or a new X trailer with the definitive name and a release window. Both games would have offered "a new look to a previously announced game", and they fit better the audience of the show.

The show was dead and anything they showed would be irrelevant like the show.

Dudebros are not on the Internet watching Internet shows. That's what you call hardcore gamer.

The views went down fast when I was looking at after nintendo left lol.

How huge do you think the show is?
