Forums - Nintendo - I don't know whether to be happy or sad

This past week marks the 2nd time Wii U has soared 6 figures for hardware sales in 2013.

January 05 - 125, 029

November 23 - 111, 046

Even the price cut and zelda wasn't able to push it past the 100k point -  not even close.

I'd like to be optimistic for its future rather than cry over its horrendous year but man this year was just sad...

You can blame the drought for that. It's gonna take quite a bit to regain all that momentum. Thankfully the Wii U's 2014 line-up might just be able to do that.

Well, the Wii U will most likely do better in 2014, with all the great games coming out for it :D

It's kind if like putting lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig.

You should be sad. Only having 2 100k+ weeks this year is kinda dismal... I can't even think of anything they could do to alleviate the situation at this stage...the Wii U is doomed

People are putting too much faith in Wii U's upcoming games. People are in for a disappointment.

just be sadappy!

It's Nintendo's fault. They need to make a better system next time. This is a good lesson learned that will help the industry as a whole.

Not that they won't be good games, but that they won't "save" the Wii U.
