just hope it doesn't get adjusted down like it did in the previous months

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

If the games are good, then don't worry about the sales. Unless bad sales lead it to be dropped by nintendo prematurely (very unlikely to happen), don't worry about the sales.
as some have already said, there is too much faith in games. Simply put, the system itself is something that just isnt hitting with the people. First it was supposed to be Pikmin, then Rayman, then W101, then Sonic, then Zelda then Mario...next is DKC, then Kart, then Smash. I think Kart will do something, Smash's sales will be eaten by the 3ds version

Or a mask on a pokemon, which I think is how the original saying went.
On topic, think of it as Wii U selling this many units with basically nothing behind it. Now we know exactly how many die-hard Nintendo fans are out there in the wild.

define "doomed".

Not that they won't be good games, but that they won't "save" the Wii U. |
What does the Wii U need to be saved from? (I know you said "save" but still) It is selling and it will make profit. If the WiiU will just make $1 profit in its lifetime then its still profit.
People should stop expecting things and especially stop comparing things. Whats the point of that? X is not Y so no matter how much you compare X to Y neither X will become Y nor will Y become X. Its just a waste of time.
Wii U is not a Wii and its not a PS4 so can we please all get over that and move on with our lives? Especially the "doom people" the only thing doomed might be them and the internet itself because bothseem to be stuck on a mysterious DOOM spiral and most likely wont get out without help.

Maybe the same goes for the PS4 and Xbox One. Now that people can make an educated decision, they can buy the system that best suits their needs. I'm optimistic, though. I hope this console generation lasts an extremely long time. In that time, I think we'll have lots of multi-console owners and the Wii U is a better secondary console than the others. It probably won't be number one by this time next year but it will still do well. |
That was my argument for the past few months. People love to draw comparisons. It's natural. They want to see what the systems are really capable of and not some console game being shown off on a PC.
I hope for the best but expect rather less.

so just a year ago when it looked like Wii U was going to be ok, it was fine to compare them to other consoles, but now the reality of the situation sinks in all of a sudden we cant compare? sounds legit.
