Forums - Nintendo - NY Times: "Wii U is the only new console with a game worth playing."

Wii U needs some press like though "12 month and just one game worth playing?" -don't thing that this headline sounds good and i can imagine that many xb1/ps4 owners are pleased with forza/killzone .

No, but any press is better than the proverbial sitting in the corner and getting ignored, which has been happening to the WiiU for the past 9 months.  Also to say there is only one good exclusive game just isn't true any more.  While none of the others may be headline grabbers to the extent that Mario 3D World is, there is a growing range of good to excellent games on the Wii U.

Agreed, the PS4 and Xbone have litterally nothing that look remotely interesting yet, outside of perhaps Dead Rising 3, but I wouldn't spend more than 30 bucks to play that game, let alone $60 + $500 for the console to play it on. I don't see how these consoles are selling other than the hype.. But hype can only last so long. Eventually you're going to need actual substance.

Though in all fairness, it took the Wii U a year to get only a handful of games worth playing. It could very well take the same amount of time for the PS4 and Xbone.

i think there are at least 4 good exclusives out right now(those i'll buy when i'm gonna get the wii U)-W101.lego city,3d mario and pikmin-that's why i don't like the headline.

Nintendo has to improve in positiv PR as most people either don't know about it or think it is a very expensive clumsy ipad-clone update.

Considering how much good PR even the crappy kinect 1 got(even from time magazine and obviously sponsored as kinect does not work good nor have a single really good game) and sold 20 mio units, than i think Nintendo should stop with this cindarella style behaviour and waiting to get noticed by some charming prince.OR Action is needed and not passivly waiting because they are running out of time and hype(after mario3d only mario cart is left to creatw a hype)

Wii U is not a new console its out for almost 1 year, its launch line up sucked worse than the Ones and PS4.

You've played those 60 titles?

What 60 titles WiiU didnt launch with 60 titles it launched with a lot of stuf already out on PS3 and X360 and some exclusives. And I did play most of them, New Super Mario Bross U is pretty fun like all other Mario games always are, aside from that there wasnt much going for the WiiU.

I meant the 60 odd titles available on Wii U, Xbox One, and PS4. You wrote that the Wii U launch line-up was inferior to that of Xbox One and PS4, but to say that with any authority you would need to play all those games.

Compare a system that has a year of releases to consoles that have only been out a week? Seems like a fair comparison.

PS4 and Xbone will have an actual third party support. Every noticable 3rd game that is being developed right now will release on PS4/Xone (with the exception of Dark Souls 2 and PC MMOs). Wii U didnt have that luxury in the past. Where was Tomb Raider for   Wii U? Metal Gear Rising? Bioshock? GTA?

excellent, and it is the truth, in all sense is the best game out there this generation.

34 years playing games.

offcourse wii-u will get more 3. party now.. not only becourse there are more wii-u than ps4one (at least to the half of 2014,, then we see) but also becourse the next gen has startet..

And the people complayning about "they had one more year"... Yes you are right.. but wii-u still has the most and best games at this moment.... This moment where the 8 gen starts.. and nintendo had the kanons ready.. testet system and good price..

I'm really can't wait to see sales in few weeks.. :)   (and i'm pretty sure ps4360 will never get by wii-u)

About time, Nintendo! I am looking forward to playing HD golf with a WiiMotion Plus - one year out and no golf games for the WiiU yet? Move your butt!

I believe PS4 will outsell WiiU in about 2 months on the market, maximum 3
