Every console has the biggest launch in history because the industry is growing even the Dreamcast had one, launch sales are the early adopters and people who would of got one regardless of what's said and what they hear because they are fans of the brand. Regarding your bet Sony have already pretty much confirmed their shipments until the end of Q1 will not meet what you're expecting it to sell, even if it was sold out every week it wouldn't reach the sale's you're predicting as the U will have to stay stagnant on 4m for 4 months for the to be any chance as anything over 4m it simply won't be outsold, believe it or not the majority of shipments for Q1 comes from the launch period.

This is why we never base things on launch but more what happens towards the end of the launch year.

 

every console except 3DS, Vita and Wii U, but i guess the industry changed a lot in 1-2 year :p

 

Dont try to downplay the huge performance of selling 1M in only 1 territory.

PS4 is going to be the wii of the generation, quote me on that.

But the reality is : If you have to buy jsut one system for the 3 years coming and , a long term value, PS4 is the best choice ( all sony exclusives + next gen games that are not on Wii U)

 

If you can buy 2 or 3 consoles in 1 year, i agree, Wii U is the best choice ( unless you have not PS3 or 360 , then one of these 2 consoles become the best choice for a short term value )


well thats how the world works. People like to compare products when they are out and competing against each other, otherwise how else do you judge them. Saying Wii U is the best investment atm when it is the only investment would have been kind of stupid.

Why do you think there are several news publications saying the same message now? Because they know what each has to offer. Before PS4 and ONE was released the Wii U may as well been non existant to most.

Everybody agrees with this on the internet, except the people that are emotionally invested with MS/Sony. The Wii U clearly has the superior lineup and will remain like that for at least the next 2 years.

Exactly! It's a positive Wii U new and they don't come often so let's at least give the system a little credit Aerys!
