The point isn't that they exist but that they get more expensive if you buy them in bulk, which is just wrong. |
Buying them is wrong. Period. This is a non issue. Try harder if you want to troll.

Can't defend MS on this. If you want to charge for things like this then the game should be F2P.

The problem is that it's a stupid decision by MS to price the points like that and I'm wondering why they'd do that (if that is not a mistake) and just telling me to not buy them does not answer my question, but admittetly I could have been more clear in the OP.
@foodfather: Asking a question is not trolling.

Or stop ignoring evey obvious issue and call things out when need be.
Yes they are optional, but this is just flat out terrible. You are getting more for less the more you spend. It says 5000 w/ 3000 free which is a flat out lie. 5000 at .79 per 100 is NOT 64.99. It is 63.2 if you buy separate. If it truly was buy 5000 to get 3000 free then t should cost 39.50.
It is an issue that should be fixed.

Well in every other case i would call this a audacious money grabbing scam.
But since this is a well respected company like Microsoft it surely can only be a honest mistake that will quickly be rectified to the advantage of the unsuspecting customer.
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Doesn't Grant Turismo 6 have micro-transactions as well? They aren't going away anytime soon so all you can really do is not buy it. Pretty simple concept.

they arent needed to finish the game, same as GT and other games, they are just an option. dont like em, dont by them, it changes your gaming experience not one iota. |
When developers have a monetary incentive to make progression more frustrating, I don't see how you can say it doesn't change your gaming experience. That is of course a seperate issue from displaying worse deals as "recommended" or "Great Value".

only if you are stupid and cant add up... after being stupid enough to buy them at all. |
So what's your solution then? Say nothing so that things don't get changed?

but you are ok with this in other games... its just in MS games where it matters? |
Can you show me all the posts I've made saying it is ok in other games? I don't think it is ok in any games that aren't free to play. Even there I am not wholly okay with how it is used. Dota 2 does it well. Many others, not so much. I'm curious if you are running defense on all those other games like you are here.
You also didn't address any of my points.

The micro transactions arent the issue here, it is the pricing model. Considering we dot have GT6's prices yet it shouldn't even be a part of th discussion.
