you could say this is a CRYSIS!

When it comes to making games the are all flash and no heart Crytek has a real KNACK for it.

Forget all the other comments in this thread...THESE guys....yeah These guys....I like them....they get it and are doing it right lol!

On Topic:

Sucks that it turned out to be this way, great looking game none the less though!

lol good catch I didn't bother reading the entire thread.... but I agree with you those guys are the thread winners lol

well still excited to get it.... this will be my gorry mindless killing anti stress game until something better comes out.... heck I could play a game with just Gears of War finish kill as an attack move and would still enjoy it for houres as long as they keep waves of ennemy coming and let me smash there heads in the simplest way possible with nice visual... I'd be happy... that's what I look for in an hack'n slash... not complexe deep gameplay... when I play those games my brains goes to hulk level of conciousness lol SMASH SMASH SMASH

Expected. Terrible gameplay despite ..some people not seeing that and comparing it to God of War and stuff...

Damn Polygon disappoints again. Was expecting more from them.

So, the exectutions do play out even without pressing buttons and they have a Diablo 3-esque economy system to exploit and the gameplay is shallow and repetetive.
Sounds like a fairly standard game from the last 6-7 years that does a lof the playing for you and doesn't challenge your mind, only your wallet.

I do think some people will enjoy it though, I remember I loved Dark Messiah when it came out, that scored somewhere in the low 70's. Reviews aren't everything.

This is why first party exclusive are better

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Why did you purposefully forget Resogun 83?

EDIT: Also Need for speed rivals 84 and NBA 2K14 85 which are not available on Wii U?

I was under the impression from many Sony and Microsoft interns that multiplats and digital titles didn't count, so I didn't list any. Only disc based exclusives here bub.

Why not pick as criteria: Disc only based exclusives with mario in it? Sure Nintendo would win each time.

What Nintendo doesn't understand is that for the average customer those criteria don't make any(more) sense.

Now customers want great multiplats, great indies and great first parties at the same time (same console) whether they are on disc or digital. I know Nintendo makes great games. But If I choose only a Wii u now I will miss a lot of multiplats and (Sony or Microsoft) first parties and indies that won't certainly be on Wii U because of Nintendo stubborn decisions about hardware.

I mean imagine what Mario 3D could have been on PS4 or X1, same as Mario Galaxy on PS360, the more immersive thanks to better graphics, the better and graphic immersion is really important for gamers. Mario 64 and Zelda 64 had both great gameplay and awesome graphics (at the time).

This is just revisionist history. Even as someone who has been looking forward to this game it has been pretty clear for months that this game was going to get trashed by reviewers. Most people made up their minds at E3. I've fully expected bad reviews since then but the reviews don't change the fact that I still want to play this game (More so than Forza 5 or Dead Rising 3).

Nope, when the first wave of x1 game embargos lifted people said Forza WILL score above an 85 and Ryse has a chance. If they didnt believe it would score above 85 why would they think it had a chance. Next time do research

Stop with the puns, for CRYing out loud.

I told you. I'm sorry I was right, but I told you. And many people here wanted to put Ryse always under a triple-A light....I wish I could get a hold of those rose-tinted, illusion-inducing glasses.
