How important is resolution? (TV, ranging from 720 to 1080)

Essential. 1080p vs 720p is huge. 172 42.68%

Important. Resolution over effects. 44 10.92%

It's a minor plus, I rat... 128 31.76%

Non-issue, I don't see a difference. 58 14.39%

Total:402

Resolution is important to me its not the end all be all but it is important. Hence why i game on PC. Anyone who really cares about resolution would do the same.

Yes, it absolutely matters.

I plan on placing a 80+ inch TV in the man cave of my new home.

80? How much are you planning to spend?

~$3000-$4,000.

I am trying for one that doesn't have all those Smart TV functions so I can keep the price down as I have no use for those features. It also won't be purchased until after the new year considering we won't be moving into the new house until around new years. Until then I have to deal with my 46 inch.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Of course! My man cave is going to be pimped out! It will be the entire fully finished basement and it has it's own outside entrance.

Only thing I will need to do is rip out some shelving on the wall to fit everything in. Previous owners have this little 26" old school relic in there right now.

I still haven't bothered to buy an HDTV yet. The old TV still works, and I haven't really had a need to spend the money to upgrade.

I did buy a house recently, so now I actually know what size space I need to account for. Maybe I will upgrade in the next few months...

So you have never HD gamed this gen?

Not essential but looking forward to it cconsidering how beautiful shadow of the colossus looks in full HD compare to the SD ps2 version.

Not very important

Resolution is indicative of power, more power means more possibilities, more possibilities means more diversity. Diversity, more power, more possibilities and cheaper = definite purchase.

The PS5 Exists.

It's very important. Anything below 4k is completely unacceptable in my book. I just gave away my Wii U to a homeless person and I'll boycott all three 8th gen consoles until they get their shit together and make some decent hardware.
