Gotta love the people being disingenious to try and paint cboat as not credible. In this case he was right. Penello even admitted it

Right about what? xbl is working and won't take months to fix. Are you still saying he was right about that? Or right about something else?

Cboat said it will probably be fixed by launch. People are ignoring that part and acting like he said it would be broken for months after launch. Penello came out and said they had those issues months ago but are now sorted out. If you dont try and spin cboats words trying to discredit him then this isnt a time he was wrong

So the news about about a broken OS that takes months to fix was right, eventhough the console released 3 weeks later and everything was just fine.

And Phil Spencer even called him out...

Or was he making a big deal out of a buggy pre-alpha version of a OS?
In both scenarios Cboat looks stupid if you ask me.

This is like ethomaz claimed he was right about the Prince of Persia reboot at MS E3 press conference. Obviously it never happened, but ethomaz still claimed he was right, because 'he probably saw a glimpse of that Halo 5 teaser, which also takes place in a dessert, therefore he must have confused Halo with Prince of Persia'.

Cboat followers will always claim he is right.
That's the spirit. Never let truth ruin a good story!

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

DirtyP - the only ones who made it a big deal was other people. Its nothing like the halo reveal considering he outright said it will probably be fixed.

Btw- if you doubt cboat then you must also doubt penello. Pick your poison

so his inside view was that an OS in an early Alpha is not working perfectly fine. Got it!

Thanks Cboat. Keep sharing your wisdom!

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Which was then confrmed by penello

I love how CBOAT puts out DRM info that was going to come at gamescom and then because MS had to do a 180 and remove all the DRM it automatically puts those initial claims in the "false" column.

Also love how when he talked about PSN paywall for PS4 he outright said that he could not confirm it at all because he doesn't have the same resources when it comes to Sony and that they were locked up tight. He didn't put his reputation on the line for that one, which is why he clearly said what he said, but people will stil chalk it up in the "CBOAT was wrong" column.

Also, about the taking weeks and months to fix, wasn't that FamousMortimer and not CBOAT? I thought that was Famous Mortimer talking about the XBL issues surrounding the cross game chat and stuff? I thought the claims CBOAT made back then came with him clearly stating that they would likely be fixed by launch?

Do people just have selecting memories? Selective reading? Maybe both?

Is he always right? No, pretty much all inside informants are sometimes wrong. The guy however is right alot more than he is wrong, especially when it comes to MS leaks. There is a reason why he has been around for around a decade.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Reading some of the earlier post in this thread is embarrassing lol

People shouldn't read anything into his predictions. The thing is, even if he's wrong 9 times out of 10, some people seem to think he was right in the other cases, it was just the company that chose to do something different. Or you could go by the fact that he is mostly plain out wrong in his guesswork.
