To dominate you have to be the best in every deparment, and the Vita is not doings so hot .

But they can win for sure, I mean in the home console section of course, but not dominate.

What if the situation was reversed?

Well the Vita can be a success but I doubt it will surpass 3DS sales, in which case Nintendo would have dominated in the handheld market.

If it does surpass it's sales and the PS4 comes on top yeah sure they will dominate.

This gen Nintendo dominated! But to be honest all this talk about domination sounds rather silly xD

There will be peace at forums, everyone will be playing the PS4. And I'm sure there would be some epigon fanboys telling us that the truth will soon come out, power of the cloud shall be revealed, or that only thing that matters is gameplay, and their console has the best first party games. They would keep us entertained.
I would be like heaven

So like the beginning of this gen where 360 dominated and Sony-fanboys praised the PS3?

I wouldn't be pleased, competition is good. I'd expect these forums to stay the same

It will be boring and bad for the industry, remember back in the nineties, Nintendo had 85% of the gaming market......yeah, let that sink in.

Was the market boring when Sony was dominating it from 1995-2005?

Were you around in the 90s? Nintendo never dominated the console market in the 90s,  first half was a close race between SNES and Megadrive, the 5th gen was dominated by the PS1 which sold 3x as much as N64.

Sony domination seems the least likely to offend all parties.
-MS domination will lead to constant nickel and diming of EVERYTHING, the death of Single Player, and DRM up the wazoo! Signs of this? The fact PSN users will now also have to pay for online.

-Nintendo domination from early last gen led to all devs steering towards Casual game design and tacked on motion controls. Pretty much almost brought on the destruction of the gaming industry as we know it. Signs of this? Kinect and Move. Now if the WiiU were to dominate I am not sure it would create the same problems, who knows.

-Sony domination will of course lead to less games needing to be Multiplat, IE less on XOne and WiiU, but it will also usher in more original and aggressive exclusives for them, which is really what they need. I mainly used PS2 all that gen, but Xbox interested me, even if it had far less games. 360 never did because it simply was all the same games as PS3..

Greatness Awaits

PSN:Forevercloud (looking for Soul Sacrifice Partners!!!)

That would be an easy to visualize scenario. The real question is what if, hipotetically Sony doesn't dominate?

Hello, 2007-8, how we missed thee...

Nintendomination would be fun to see, if only just to see the western third parties bitch, squeal, and then say that Nintendo is the best But I still prefer Sonydomination.
