for me f zero alone was worth buying the gamecube...
i thought the gamecube was really underapreciated and had many good games,
by the way activision should make a new metal arms

N64 was also awesome, many gamers liked the console
Sony simply have more variation in their products which cater to all consumers whereas Nintendo still focus on their die hard fans and not on bringing in new fans like Sony is trying to do

But wasn't that the entire premise behind the Wii? To reach people that weren't gamer? That's why they simplified the controller to the less intimidating remote control-style or why they targeted casual adults with Brain Age and Nintendogs.
Alright gonna take this seriously.
Sony tops Nintendo in relationships with 3rd parties.
Nintendo tops Sony is building partnerships.
Sony tops Nintendo at making FPS, TPS and mature action/adventure games.
Nintendo tops Sony at making platformers, puzzlers, fighting games and RPG's.
Sony tops Nintendo in wich it adapted to the evolving market by pleasing american audiences, while taking insane financial risks.
Nintendo tops Sony in wich it didnt hop on the self-destruction boat that the rising costs of the current gen brought, and kept going with a market that would be self-sustained and less riskier to develop for, and therefore supporting new and varied projects better.
I like both companies. I had a fallout with Sony at the end of last-gen as their arrogance led them to mistakes, though i am pleased they learned. I was never a big Nintendo fan, but i admire their marketing strategy. They are not beeing pushed by microsoft and are going at their own pace, creating unique systems instead.

When your OLED fries itself.
The N64 was hurt most by Japan. Hence Nintendo's shift in strategy and focus.

Nintendo:
Gameplay
Handheld King (Contains almost all genres besides Niche titles and shooters)
First Party
Sony:
Story
Third Party
Hardware

lmao, so you just ENTIRELY SKIPPED MY QUESTION, how predictable! those consoles made (exception of WiiU) made money for Nintendo with software and had some of the best games ever on both platforms (GCN+N64). You sound childish, you skip true facts and switch the conversation to something completely different. Even anybody that will own a PS4 and no nintendo console or handheld would say N64 had greay games, in fact it had the best platformers and great local multiplayer fun, but you wouldn't kno that cuz your in denial
