Forums - Sales - So is Beyond officially the flop of the year now?

W101 is the biggest sales flop of the year. But for me Beyond is the biggest disappointment of the year for me at least.

Not even close. puppeteer, kz m, wonderful 101 and others are far worse.

Yeah, definitely one of these 3.

As far as people saying stuff like Lost Planet 3 or Fuse... Well, no one cared about those to begin with. A lot of us were REALLY excited for Wonderful 101, Puppeteer, and Killzone Mercenaries.

If Nintendo kept Rayman exclusive to WiiU and launched it when WiiU really needed a game it could have sold double what it did.

Wonderful 101 is a pretty big flop IMO, I'm a huge fan of Platinum Games, and this was one of the big games pushing me to buy a WiiU, but not anymore.

Also, while Gears of War Judgement sold okay, it was a complete flop to me. It comepletly failed me as a Gears game, and put the final nail in my MS coffin.

I think you meant ubisoft.

yes

Since when is the userbase argument relevant for a 7 years old console?

Why there isn't any Xbox360 exclusive on the flop list??? Haven't they released anything worth of flopping?? And to bad to Insomniac, maybe they will go back to release ratchet delicious games.

And everyone once again forgets Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate. One flop to rule them all, one flop to find them...

Or Brain Age if you're okay with the fact that it came out in Japan last year.

Two extremely decent suggestions.  I think Brain Age is a good candidate given sales of the previous entries.

With 300 something k copies sold.

I thought it would become the first AAA game for me that I buy at release but after playing the demo I started doubting and then the reviews followed, what a shame.

What a ridicilous post. 300K first week, for a new IP on a last gen console just a month before PS4 comes out? No its not. Sorry to break it to you but not every game opens with millions.

To the people saying Puppeteer: What were the initial expectations for this game? 500k first week?

500k would be a nice lifetime number for a game like Puppeteer.

This could have been a MAJOR flop thread. Now it's a wasted opportunity.

We needed to talk about it. :(
