I think it's quite the big deal, especially the US gap growing closer. People don't realize how close Sony is to taking the industry back to Ps2 level domination. Slowly but surely, inch by inch, Sony is gaining ground in the US. They already have a strong grip on Europe, Asia, and the rest of the world.

To Ps2 levels? No. It's very unlikely. Companies these days (Microsoft and Sony) are too experienced to let their marketshare lower that much. However, the Ps4 is creeper towards a Global lead in marketshare. It might not get to Ps2 level, but it will get to the top, count on it.

It was the main reason plus the DD version too. Only on psn 

We don't track DD sales, so no. The bundle did a lot, yes, but you made it seem like that was the only reason, and it isn't. It has a 300K plus advantage from Japan alone.

His first post made it seem like it was the only reason while his second post made it seem like main not only reason. I think it will be interesting to see which dlc versions sells better and which platforms have the more active users as well.

Agreed I can see Sony holding the global marketshare at first, but who knows how 2014 and up will play out.

If it wasen't for the bundle then the difference wouldn't have been close to 2 million. I am quite sure the sales for the bundle count even if the bundle is still at a store right now. If they made 1 million bundles but only sold about half of them so far, they would still count it as 1 million regardless.

Technically, it's still undertracked, since the tracking was under-performed. :D

So GTA5 is still undertracked.
