You guys do know sony payed Rockstar for each bundled copy, right?
Sony had to buy a copy of gta v in order to bundle it.
All of the bundled copies have already been purchased by sony meaning they already count as sold.
You just see stuff the way you want to and not by what it really is.

I am out, enjoy your day!

By that logic, every shipped item must count as sold because the retailers had to pay the publishers in order to sell it themselves.

2 totally different senarios dont mix bro. Sony is paying to BUNDLE a game. Sony is not selling a game, sony is buying a game from a publisher then shipping it to retailers.

So? Do you not understand that vgchartz only counts a game as sold once it has been sold to an endconsumer? What you're talking about is shipped and that isn't tracked here simple as that.

This post is hilarious.

What does it matter? However Vgchartz tracks it doesn't do one way for PS and another way for Xbox.

So any attempt to discredit the data serves no purpose other than to criticize the website.

Next time think before you post.

I thought very deep, always.

What does matter is that if a game here is adjusted up or down 10 to 20% it realy dosen´t matter. That statistics my friend, and very easy to understand.

Yes, I´m criticising this site.

We just don´t know where those ups and down come from. We can´t cross examinate the data. We just have to trust then. And I think this is a very reliable site. The only thing that bugs me is the precision that has no way to be obtained for any real world methodoly.

What we should do is just interpret those number as a approximation of the reality. And in the case o GTA V try to figure out why from most of mulplatform games (but FIFA) the PS3 version shows a suposed 20% advantage over the 360´s when both consoles have a less then 2% installbase diference?

It might be the bundles, close to 500K??, it might be the DF article where the PS3 version has a minor performance advantage, it could be the 8GB instalation that criple many 360´s "arcade" SKUs, it could be the "nostalgia effect" from people who played San Andreas on the PS2, and so on.

If adjustments are made, there is evidence to support the change. It isn't done just to piss off fanboys.

You analyze data from your couch. They have sources for their data. You are commenting from a position of profound ignorance to the methodologies used by Vgchartz. Perhaps you should PM someone who deals with the data so you can gain a better understanding if you're interested.

Otherwise you just seem like someone who is upset by the adjustment so he attempts to argue against them.

How can you tell if I am upset or not? That´s realy funny.

Did read my post to the end? Did take a time to think in what I wrote. Read again, I trust the VGChartz number, but always with a 20% to 10% margin of error. Because I have no way to check table by table of their numbers, and they have no desire to make them public, that is the best we have but the companies quarterly reports.

Please, don´t derail the tread any further.

I exposed my opinion why GTA V on the PS3 might be with such a unusual advange than on the 360.

Wow that's a big surprise. I never expected there to be that big of a difference between platforms.
However I don't trust vgchartz numbers and I doubt anyone other than people on this site take the numbers seriously.

Did you know ps4 only supports a 2.4 wireless signal?

The xbox one supports a wireless adapter capable of 2.4 - 5.0ghz.

The ONLY next gen console to do so.

You seem upset from my perspective. Why else argue against the data?

You've pulled this 10-20% margin of error out of your butt like it's supposed to have some meaning to anyone but yourself. It doesn't. Everyone on this website knows that these are estimations except you apparently.

So again, what is the purpose of criticizing the data?

It's obvious why it sold more - it always has. The only reason GTA IV sold slightly more on the 360 is because it released in 2008 when the numbers were:

X360 - 21m

PS3 - 15.5m

With the bulk of its sales coming the first year.

Extremely foolish comment.

Hardware sales (PS3) from GTA V release week until now:

sept 21st - 79,515,758

oct 12th - 80,119,964

That means only 604,206 consoles were sold. Even if you estimate that 500k were bundles, it doesn't account for the 2 million unit difference. Not even close actually.

Next time bring facts.

Number of gta v (ps3) copies bundled with every ps3 are counted towards that regardless if sold or not.

Please tell me you're just trolling us.

I like how people here is arguing why some version sold better than the other, and I'm here thinking "woah, I wish a game like Vanquish could have like the 10% of the sales of any version of GTA V".
