Have to actually see gameplay before making a judgement

Those are all in-game animations from NBA 2K14. Most of their commercialism for years has featured in game graphics because 2k has always been the leader in not only gameplay but graphics when it came to basketball games. I mean look up the game for crying out loud.

I think the problem is Youtube. Yes it looks better when comparing videos, but I'm sure the difference will have to be seen without compression to be really noticeable.

Everything looks better on the actual console than the Youtube counterpart. I mean the only way it could suck is if you had a sub 720p TV.

Question is what does it look like in game?

pre-rendered cut scenese do look good though, nothing better then FFXIII

Those arent cut scenes. Those are in game shots. Its going to be years before the consoles are pushed as well by third party. First and second party will push the consoles faster.

I agree, because

1. It says so in the trailer

2. At one point the beard of that one guy (don't know anything about basketball) goes through his jersey, if the whole thing was prerendered I'm sure that they would have made sure that this didn't happen.

Oh your right I see....

I've noticed that the pre-rendered cut scene graphics from one generation looks as good as gameplay for the next. In this case FFXIII cutscenes look as good as in game character models for the 8th gen. Cut scenese from the gamecube days looks like in game models for PS3 games, PS1 cutscenes looks like PS2 in game characters, etc....

Anyway, looks great, but I have too much of a backlog to enjoy the upgrade in graphics.

I think this will affect the annualized gamer more than us. They will see the graphics and marvel at it.

There were plenty of games on the PS2 whose in-game graphics was surpassed by the PS3 and 360. Some games had more impressive cutscenes than others though.

Honestly, I'm not impressed. The characters still look off, more like mannequins than human beings.

I am sure they do somewhere in your mind. I guess mo-capping means absolutely nothing right? It might not be there yet completely but its much more fluid than last gen.
