Costs $20 more on Wii U?

..........why?

They had to port it!

Most of the work was already done on the PS360.

That isnt a valid reason and here is why. Both the 360 and Wii U are PPC based systems. Porting it would take no time at all. Some developers early on had their games ported to Wii U in a matter of days

It isn't that simple. While the 360, PS3, and Wii U may use similar instruction sets, there are many, many ways in which their architectures differ. How much memory and cache there is, how they're organized, the nuances of their graphics processors. Perhaps a single core of the Wii U CPU is better at integer calculations, but worse at floating point than the other consoles. Any tuning for performance you do on one platform is bound to get thrown out the window when you move it to another.

NO dude you dont understand. PS3 is not similar to 360 or Wii U as its not Power PC based. Just the fact you think it is shows you dont have a clue what you are talking about. Go do some Google research then come back and talk about it. Claiming PS3 is similar architecture to 360 or Wii U shows a serious lack of understanding. It really is that simply and you only argue because you do not know. its really that simple. We can talk again once you do some research. Other  than that I dont want to be banned for pointing out how stupid it is to claim Cell and PPC are similar in coding. If that was true, developers would not have had so many issues porting to PS3.

What you are claiming is code needs to be completely rewritten to go from 1 PC to another, but that is not the case as they all use similar architecture. Just like Wii U and 360 use similar architecture. they only work that would need to be done is if you wanted to take advantage of the things the WIi U does better or new features it offers. You dont need to do that though for the game to work.

Because PS3/360 owners need buy the game again.  $60+$30 is worse than $50.  Honestly Wii U owners getting the better deal out of this. aside from PS3/360 owners who never bought the original.

Since the original been bargain bin prices for a long time anyway I'd imagine anyone who had interest in this Director's Cut would be people who played and liked the original, so the $90 people.

I'm sorry, but are you *really* trying to assert that people who want to play it on 360 or PS3 have to pay $90 for it? I guess that means that 3DS owners are even better off, since the total they have to pay for all versions of the game released on the 3DS is $0. Yay! That's so much cheaper than $50, isn't it!

PC gamers get the upgrade for

5 dollars you own missing link.
10 dollars if you own base game
and 20 dollars new

:D

I stopped reading right there because:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cell_processor

"Cell is a microprocessor microarchitecture of an Accelerated processing unit that combines a general-purpose Power Architecture core..."

The Cell goes off into left field with its co-processors, but it is Power PC based.

@ishiki

Yeah, it's going to be really hard to buy this on Wii U and not feel like a chump when PC gamers are getting it as $5 DLC.

UK prices aren't much different for any version of the game.

£29.99 for the Wii U ver RRP £24.99 for PS3/360 version. Real world prices however are £21.85 for Wii U ver and £19.85 for PS3.

It's the penalty players get for playing games on the Wii U. We should be grateful that we got this game at all!

i understand the price difference. i mean, the ps360 version is pretty much the old version already finished for years just with whatever this edition has as extra but for the wii u version they have to port the whole game which is much more work and will cost more.

it would be different if it would be only a 360 game and they would release it now for ps3 and wii u and wii u version would cost 20 bucks more but this is not the case. or if there would be already the standard version on wii u  and this special edition would cost more on wii u now but this is also not the case.

£2.00 penalty in the UK isn't so bad to have another Wii U box art :p

well to be fair, you kind of should be. If youre a Ninty only gamer. If you dont have those other systems its not like you have the option to get those for cheaper. Yeah its a bit messed up but in the larger scheme of things it doesnt matter.
