Predict what sales would be by this time next year, provided that it somehow gets more big releases in NA and Europe. I'm very satisfied so far about Japan's 2014 lineup and the introduction of the Vita TV. NA and Europe have absolutely NOTHING for next year. Hopefully things will change. Anyways also give your reason why you think Vita can still succeed, and what it needs to do to achieve that.

If Sony gets their shit together, starts pumping major releases or even more re-releases like Nintendo's been doing for the 3DS since June 2011, sells memory for a reasonable price, advertises their system, and generally diverts resources from their overwhelming emphasis on the consoles, I'm certain that the Vita can make a comeback.

Hate no. Most people even those who love their Vita know the situation it's in.

The Vita will suceed in Japan. Some multi-plat games already outsell their PS3 counterparts. With Vita TV it might become viable in the west aswell, we shall see.

But, if you make a poll asking: Blood! or No blood! You know what the average videogame forum visitor will say. Doom is the bread of the day. People learned nothing from yelling doomed at the 3DS. Theres no backlash in the internet afterall.

Cheaper than before, More games coming and will come(after PS4 launch because first developers are focused on PS4 right now and also they want spotlight on PS4 Home console which is Sony good at), Great for playing Indie games on the go, PS4 Remote Play, Cross- Buy/Save/Play with PS3/4, Gaikai Streaming, more Third party support will come because i trust Sony, great Value which is provided by PS+  and the hardware, Console quality games on the go, can Play PS1, PSP, PS2(may be in emulation/gaiaki), PS3(Gaikai), PS4(Remote play) and Its own games.

It all depends on Sony. If Bioshock ever sees the daylight, and her bring more third party exclusive and, obviously, more AAA games of their own, Vita can sell like the PSP, wich is a huge amount.
If one day they stop givin they francise to low size studios create games, Vita will sell a lot better. If not, i cant see it selling more than 30 million units.

Ok fine I agree. I own a Vita and I am really worried. There's only two new games I want from it from the West, but about 5 or 6 from the East. 3DS is crushing it and it doesn't look like it will get much better. The fact that I'm relying on Vita TV right now to increase the install base is depressing.

It will live in Japan for a long time, In the west its probably too late. Sony will probably focus on making games for the Japanese in the next year or and not dev anymore western titles. Which Im kool with if they get localized.
