I don't know, I think it could go either way. Whether on not it's worth it to Sony to keep pushing it is another matter. They are pumping decent budgets into games like KZmercs only to watch it flop in sales. I think the new focus on indies is the smart thing for Sony to do, it gives the Vita a constant stream of content, without Sony having to waste its own studios' time on the vita just to watch the games flop.

I know it's a bit of a gloomy outlook but they've tried Uncharted, Wipeout, Killzone, even a frikking Assassin's Creed game and nothing seems to kickstart this thing. Maybe a GTA/Final Fantasy XV spinoff or something could happen? I just don't know.

I've got one and I do like it, but I mainly use it to play JRPGs from 2-3 gens ago. I do feel if I wasn't a PSN+ subscriber I would never have bought it at all in the first place.

Sorry Sony, better luck next time.

Let me quote my self:

"...The Vita is dead in the western market and a few Japanese games are not going to save it.

The only thing that can save the Vita is that it gets 8-10 AAA games next year, and all of them need to be killer-apps like God of War, a new Uncharted, Gran Turismo, a new Dissidia, Assassin's Creed, a decent Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, etc."

The Vita will suceed in Japan. Some multi-plat games already outsell their PS3 counterparts. With Vita TV it might become viable in the west aswell, we shall see.

But, if you make a poll asking: Blood! or No blood! You know what the average videogame forum visitor will say. Doom is the bread of the day. People learned nothing from yelling doomed at the 3DS. Theres no backlash in the internet afterall.

But vita tv is a different system, it's sales can't be added to vita's.

It will take a massive push from Sony. Unfortunately, Sony has redirected its efforts at the ps4. i don't think the Vita and ps4 will do any difference. It can be done - it depends how badly sony wants it

For starters they could cut the support for PS3 and put it on Vita. Only in 2013 PS3 got The Last of Us, Puppeteer (what the hell is this game doing on PS3? It's a perfect Vita game), Beyond: Two Souls, GT6, God of War: Ascension, Ni No Kuni, Rain. Why are these games on PS3? Just... Why? They all should be on Vita. Sony is so stupid trying to support 3 platforms at the same time. If there is anything I applause MS for is cutting the support for X360 at the right moment. Nintendo cut Wii support too early, Sony is doing it too late, MS did it just perfect.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

It doesn't matter. If it's successfull, it can help the Vita because Third-Parties will start making games for it.

But don't get your hopes up yet. It will fail like the Ouya.

Wow, look at that negativity, lol.

It's not on the rise exactly and neither can I say its doomed because of the PS Vita TV.

All depends on Vita TV performance.

We also will find out because of Wii U/Vita on whether software sells hardware.

Well after I buy the PS4 I will get a Vita for remote play. So if there are a lot of people like me, it might be saved.

Once vita TV comes out in the west along with remote play for the ps4 sales will triple what there at now. It will never outsell the 3ds but if they can get more third party studios to make games, then it could find a nice home like the psp did.
