The Vita will suceed in Japan. Some multi-plat games already outsell their PS3 counterparts. With Vita TV it might become viable in the west aswell, we shall see.

But, if you make a poll asking: Blood! or No blood! You know what the average videogame forum visitor will say. Doom is the bread of the day. People learned nothing from yelling doomed at the 3DS. Theres no backlash in the internet afterall.

But vita tv is a different system, it's sales can't be added to vita's.

Hm. Let's see. The system is called vita and it plays vita games. Yup, completely different.

Doesn't a 'comeback' imply that it has seen sucess in the past..?

Correct. It beat the 3DS prior release. Just like PS4 already beating WiiU and X1.

You just... feel it.

come"back", was it ever there?

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

It wouldn't sell well even if its price were $129.

You are dead wrong there.

Whilst I love my Vita I do understand the position it is currently in! Sony need to get the games coming for the console, a handheld GTA would do wonders for the sales and start announcing games on a regular basis!

Not everyone cares about indie titles so they need to stop focusing all their energy on them and start making/securing games the general public will appreciate! For example: Uncharted sequel, some FF love, Confirm Gravity Rush 2 (all but confirmed) etc

Wether you want to add it or not is your problem. Aslong as it allows the software to sell more, thats all everyone else needs to know.

Tbh... i don't think so.

I don't think it needs a comeback. I think Vita TV will increase the user base for Vita games (that don't use touchscreen controls) such that 3rd parties will develop games for it. That will leave Sony as the only developer that will make use of functions not available on Vita TV. Vita will continue to sell at a fairly low level, but it will remain a viable platform for a while thanks to Vita TV.

I don't see Sony releasing a Vita 2 any time though.

It can get better if Sony supports it enough. Can't predict how much better, but a market for non-Nintendo portables exists, PSP proved it. And PSV, at least for my tastes, is a lot more comfortable to use than PSP, although still too expensive (again IMVHO). I know that I could MAYBE buy it for under 130 euros, and I'd DEFINITELY buy it for less than 100 euros, in both cases including at least a 8GB stick for those prices. Games shouldn't be a problem anymore by the time it drops to those prices, even at a sluggish release rate its library would become large enough to justify a cheap price.

3ds is called ds and plays ds games, should we add their sales?

Vita is a portable device, vita tv is a streaming machine that let's you play some games on your tv with a dualshock 1.3/1.4. no touchscreen, no buttons, no camera... therefore many vita titles are not even compatible with it. again, it's a streaming machine compatible with SOME vita games, as well as ps and other systems.
