See PC does have a lot of great exclusives, but most of them are non taxing on the system. It's so much smarter to buy a standard computer that can play those too than invest in a gaming rig.

 

F2P are barely great exclusives ( and are often pay to win ).

 

The truth is you wont find as much variety on PC than on PS4. ( i dont think we'll see exclusive games like The Last Of Us, Puppeter, Ninokuni, Tales Of, Beyond, God Of War, Disgaea, ... on PC, but we saw that with Sony in just 1 year )

 

But if you prefer shooters, MMO, ... PC could be good for you.

Oh no I was mostly thinking of the simulation games and the sort. Kerbal space program, minecraft, civ, total war, etc.

Buying either one at the start of a console gen is going to be bad timing. I'd wait a year or so on both, but if you really want one now I'd say go for the PC so you don't have to deal with any of the inevitable droughts on PS4 (though it won't be anything like the Wii U drought).

Japanese games will mainly be shared between 3DS and PS4 and One sometimes ( and PS4 will have a good number of exclusive, more than PS3 )

 

 

 

OP, about PC power, you also should know that you will have to spend more in the futur to upgrade your current PC. ( around 700$ for a current PC)


That's not a problem you'll know if you buy a PS4 ( and we also know a 2006 PC cant run PS3 games like Uncharted, The Last Of Us or Beyond, it will be the same, a current PC wont be able to run PS4 games in few years )

Japan is going to have a slow adoption rate for the PS4.

With all due respect, you must have been  away from the PC environment lately. Independent platformers are pouring and are usually on PC first.

I am assuming you already have a PC of sorts, just not a gaming one, so I'd say get a PS4

Sony's first party games are just so good AND you'll be spending about half the price. I will have both, but its the PS4 that I am more excited about

Based on everything I've read in the thread, I'd say PS4. The real question is whether you need a truly multi-purpose device for school/work.

It can't because they aren't on PC. What's your point exactly? It's like saying a PS3 can't run Warcraft III.

The only game a 2006 PC can't run is Crysis 3. And you are ignoring the fact that PCs and Consoles were way closer when this gen started than PS4/Xbox One are to current PCs.

I get it that you don't like PCs, but you don't have to spread lies about it (like saying that there are no platformers or few exclusives, when there are more on PC than on PS3).

You know what i meant, games like Uncharted/Beyond/TLOU cant run on 2006 PC. Nop, Difference between console and PC has always been that big.

No lies, just truth and i like PC, those who like PC too much forget this fact, PC with PS3 hardware wont be able to run games like this because PC games are not made for one particular PC, most of times, they are made for much powerful hardwares  even if they could run on less expensive hardware, because its easier. This is called : lack of optimisation, that makes all the difference.

 

and its not a lie but the truth to say PS3 has better variety in games than PC in this last generation ( and more ambitious games that you wont find on the other one(especially including Vita/PS3, PS3/360 or PS3/PS4 games ) )

PC. PC is getting more and more console games these last few years, and with the incredibly cheap Steam Sales, GOG and now Humble Bundle It's quite cheap to have a impressive gaming library and a decent rig.
