Forums - Gaming - My one problem with GTAV

I'll lower my expectations a bit while waiting for a ps4 version.

Yeah San Andreas was great. Hijacking the train at the start and driving it through the rest of the still locked map was epic. Immediate 5 star response, military attack choppers firing rockets at my train.
So much stuff to do, from simple truck missions to the hectic ambulance mini game. (finally completed that in the little village, good for something) I have it sitting in my Steam library, I'm tempted to play it again now :)

San Andreas is my least favorite open world GTA. I hated the story and the characters. I hated the empty feeling of most of the map. I HATED the flying mechanics. Had ok activities but I usually only did them once before getting bored.

Haven't played it, can't wait to borrow it from someone lol.

but one thing that keeps me worried, is that every review I watch, you are either driving or shooting. And my least favourite game genre are third person shooters, first person shooters, and overall shooters.

can somebody tell me what else can you do ? I've seen you can play tenis also.

One thing I hate about games like this is how thin they make the vehicles.

In real life you can not just drive down the yellow line and go between cars like its nothing. There is not that much space. I was watching watch dogs video and they do this too.

Now I understand not having actual car physics and not having traffic or like 10x the amount of cars in a city like this clogging up the streets. But is so hard to make them the right size so you can't just drive 100+ miles an hour down the middle of the city by going down the center lane. So dumb.

This game is like 60% driving and it would be unbearable if I couldn't speed down the middle of two lanes at 100mph.

So far the only thing that's kinda bothered me is the fact that there's no speedometer when you're driving...that wouldve been a great feature!

If you dopn't like shooters then I don't think you'll be loving this.

I disliked GTA3 and tried GTA4 anyway because of all the amazing reviews and it was shit (to my taste). Played for about an hour and then traded it back with my friend.

I'll give GTA5 a shot though. Red Dead Redemption was amazing, so I'll give R* the benefit of the doubt. Again.

you didnt mention any problem with GTA V. you just said you wished it was SA. Thats not a real problem

The only problem I have with it losing my cars... I customised a really nice car took it to a mission, then I was miles away from it at the end and I have never seen it since. It didn't turn up at the impound, so there is about $50,000 wasted....

But I think the map is huge, I just think that it is a shame that it is all unlocked from the start. I have been limiting myself to sticking with the story so the world kind of opens up more naturally, but it's a little dissapointing that I have been everywhere in Los Santos, though I am sure there is plenty more to explore within the city itself and there is the vast countryside to look around

But I would be very surprised if San Fierro and Las Venturas aren't added in future years, either as part of GTA Online or as story expansions

My issue is it does NOT look near as good as the videos they released, sure it looks good at times, but dated in others. Seems like false advertising to me. Waiting for PC version now, and da mods.
