I think people are missing the point here...Just because 3DS is a good system doesn't make Vita a bad system. It is simply too expensive. They need to advertise that they dropped the price so it can sell and people see it for the quality device that it is. They are both good.  Gravity Rush is one of the best games this gen, portable and home console included.

What you fail to realise is that what one console is, the other is not. They can not both be the same thing.

For example: The 3DS is Nintendo, the Vita is not. Stands to reason: If the 3DS is good, the Vita therefore is not.

Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it soon.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

That was a joke at the internet's expense. Basically, he's saying that people are only willing to treat one system as worthwhile at a time.

Sarcasm is pretty common in these parts. You'll get used to it!

Games + PS4 connectivity.
It's too late for it to beat or even really compete with 3DS, but it can and will still do decent numbers in Europe, and better-than-decent in Japan.

Wow!

I am amazed at what some are saying here. Especially mikerox.

On what planet would the vita ever have a better line up of games than the 3ds?

Earth according to facts *the fact being a compilation of aggregated opinions of videogame journalists, or basically the closest thing we can use to quantify a game's quality.

What planet are you playing your 3DS on :D

no offense but metacritic does not favor nintendo, you always have reviewers giving a nintendo game a 6-7 while others give it a 9-9.5! It goes both ways sure, but nintendo is hated on to such a great extent. I wouldn't use those #s imo!!! Its good but not always there.

I'd argue Vita has been suffering a similar problem "oh.. the graphics aren't quite as good as the PS3 version... so we'll dock 2 marks" etc.

That's true. Reviewers compare Vita versions to the home console versions and downgrade the Vita-score due to the graphics. For the other mobile devices with similar hardware power (high-end iOS- and Android-devices) the expectations are much lower, so good games get much better scores.

I really like "NfS Most Wanted" on my iPad... but the fact, that this gimped version has a better score than the full fledged Vita version is ridiculous!

let them be delusional. The 3DS has the most amazing lineup for this year than any handheld has had in history.

The Vita's does not even match it.

Yes because PS3 and PC can be played on the go. However I didn't say exclusives, I said it had a better release, if you applied "exclusives" to PS3 and 360, there'd barely be 10 games a year released.

Meta Critic Green releases for 2013

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon - 86
Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate - 79

The 3DS list is incomplete and some scores have changed:

I did think it seemed a bit off given the much higher userbase. I couldn't find the way to do the compile by year and score so I just flicked through by date looking for the greenies. The 16 3DS to 21 Vita does seem a bit more realistic. :)

I still don't know how Mirror of Fate didn't cut the mustard on 3DS though. For me it's much better than a lot of the games that did (on both formats) and one of the best portable releases this year.

As for 3DS lineup in 2013 being the best in handheld history? And you think Vita games are delusional? Wow... just wow!

*edit* that said, if your gaming world is Mario and Pokemon, I could possibly see how that would be the case. But to not a general gamer who plays games from more than one company/format and of a much greater variety of genres.
