You also get a lot of reviewers giving average Nintendo games 9-10 while others are giving it 7-8. Recent example is W101.

to many mix reviews, i know sony gets them too, but nintendo is all over the place! Luigi mansion has great reviews but like 4 companies gave it a 5.5-6 i believe??? Others were all 8-9.5

The real answer is that the Vita needs the RIGHT games.  A system can have lots of games.  It can have lots of good games.  However, if it doesn't have the ones right for the system, it will not gain the momentum it needs.

Actually, no company gave Luigi's Mansion 2 anything lower than a 6.5. On the other hand, The Last of Us got a 6 from somewhere. A 6!! That's crazy.

Sony doesn't need to do anything really, they just have to make sure to make some profits with the device, market share isn't a priority at this point. That's why I think it was smart to wait with the price cut. Considering that PlayStation consoles are always slow burners, it should be possible for Vita to reach 50m units or more when all is said and done.

We'll have to see, but the PSP also needed some time before it really took off. Sure, it wasn't the same situation as with Vita. But the strong technology inside the Vita gives Sony an advantage in the long run. In a few years, the 3DS will look really old even to kids and parents. But the Vita will have decent technology even in five years or so. That way, the Vita will be able to survive significantly longer than the 3DS. Same as with PSP and DS. It's even perfectly possible that the Vita is on par with Nintendos next handeld system.

And on top of that, if the PS4 will be successful, I can see it pushing some Vitas, just because PS4 users become aware of the fact that the Vita even exists. I can also see that the new consoles will generate kind of a video games hype, so people tend to buy more games and hardware because of the massive PR storm that will be coming over us. It's impossible to predict right now, but I think Vita is far from dead.
